   Fantastic
I love Dr. Burns'books. If you are looking to improve your mental health, this book will not disappoint!

   Misguided Author
TEAM-CBT has the potential to help millions of people suffering from depression and anxiety around the world. It is an unbelievable therapy and Dr. Burns does a stupendous job explaining it in Feeling Great. Too bad, the good doctor is an ideologue who has lost touch with psychiatry long ago. He places extreme stigma on the use of medication, going so far as to include an entire chapter condemning them. He even says his competitors, i.e. non-CBT therapist, are financially rewarded for slow recoveries from depression. TEAM-CBT is real, but Dr. Burns'behavior is unethical.

   A longer, more tedious version of original book.
Here everything could be said in 50 pages. He rejects pharmaceuticals, but would not be here without them. Save your money :

   For those thinking of reading this book
I have just completed the first two chapters, so I will update this review upon completion. I am so far loving this book and I hope it will be a useful tool in overcoming anxiety and depression and rebuilding relationships. The charts in the beginning are great self-evaluation tools. Even if you are severely depressed, the author tells you that there is still good news that comes with it. “Recovery is one of the greatest feelings a human being can have. In the next chapter, he presents a CliffsNotes version '' showing the 10 most common cognitive distortions, which I found very helpful and well defined. He then shows an example of positive reframing and how easy it can be to see these negative thoughts in order to dissect the positive side of negative thinking. So far '' is very interesting and I am hopeful. Then continue to update.

I can not say enough good things about this book. I am an academic researcher in psychology and also someone who has experienced depression myself. I have read every single book that Dr. Burns has written, but this is by far the best. Here you will find tremendous value and life-changing techniques, whether you are new to Dr. Burns'work or a long devotee. I truly believe that this will cure your depression and bring more joy and happiness into your life. His work has expanded to include wonderful support for habits and addictions. This deserves to set another revolution in the treatment of setting CBT within a more elaborated methodology that overcomes resistance, empowers readerspatients, and cures depression even more effectively. I 'll be coming back to this book for a long time.

Recommendation highly recommended! This book shows you how to find out, discover and discard what is keeping you from feeling great and living great! For anyone who practice CBT, a must read CBT. TEAM CBT is the future of the cognitive behavioral therapy!
