   Good gift for brad fans
My boyfriend is a huge fan of brad so I threw this in with his Christmas gifts and he absolutely loves it. The book itself does feel a little flimsy, but he's always flipping through it.

   Nice book, more for casual reading than recipes IMO.
I purchased it with the intention of making a recipe or two from one of my favorite cooking personalities. But, I admit, this book seems more story-telling-focused than a traditional cookbook.    Stories and recipes
If you're a fan of Brad Leone, this is a great book. Lots of fermentation recipes, but also other recipes, he said. In addition, he includes stories of his childhood and his adventures, along with his recipes.

   Poor Quality
While Frey's book is great, it is not well made. The book's bindings are ripped open and the pages are black.

   Did anybody edit this?
Bought as a Christmas present, thumbed through it. The recipes are okay and easy to read, but the overall graphic design and text spacing is so odd, it almost looks like nobody double-checked the formatting. Some pages have huge blank spaces between the headings, and the text is all over the place. The book looks cheap and amateur, McBride said.

   Cover ripped and bent corner
Television images could not be loaded. It's just bent up and ripped, so I'm going to try to order another one.

   Quality of book is very poor
This is not a review of the book, but rather, a gesture of good will toward Amazon. The book was ripped and the binding was coming off. Service requested a replacement, but was told it would cost twice the original. It's just that I'm not a huge Brad fan.

   Beautiful book and contents but not built to last.
The spine of the book and the inner lining are already peeling away and falling apart after two days of reading.
