A diffrent view

The series did not live up to the high praise given. I finished the first book and found it to be naive. I believe the person stated that they were 16 years old. As someone who has not had a lot of experience with relationships with others, I would definitely say that it's more of a hot good looking guy. I thought this girl couldn't separate love and physical reaction. There are two very different items. Christian had some bad experiences growing up, and his therapist did nothing to improve his outlook. I am going to finish all the books but I would really like to hear about the rest of their way of life outside the bedroom or Red Room. In real life, nobody spends that much time having sex.

Not what I expected!!! Highly Pleased

I decided to read the 50 shades books. I fell in love with these books. The author has done their job, so when you finish a book, you feel empty because there is no more to see into the lives of the characters that you fell in love with. I didn't want to leave the series because I thought it would be just a sex book. This book was well written and had many heart wrenching times. I want everything in a book to read. The plot develops further into the depths of Christian's ways. I didn't expect the last book to be the last one. I didn't see how the author made the plot even more interesting. The author should make a book with Christian's POV, it doesn't need to be 3 books. I want to go inside his head and see more than what he saw at the end of 50 shades free...

Interesting Love Story

After watching Darker on tv, I waited until I was 71 to read the books. I have watched and bought 3 unrated movies since I read the trilogy in the past few months because I was busy with reading. The amount of content in books is always better than in movies. The only regret I have about movies is that there is no mention of the psychiatrist. That would have explained C's problem. The actor was married with a child on the way and I felt bad for him. I've read Grey and Darker and Freed from C's point of view. It was good to see Jamie smile and change in the last 2 movies. He has done several movies, including the fall. I'm anticipating his next series. He has the ability to act.

Some say these books may cause problems. Unless you want to play out some of the story lines and your partner doesn't want to, I don't see how you can do it. I bought the movie trilogy after seeing the middle one and thought I'd better read the books since my friends were talking about it. I enjoyed reading the books and found some interesting ideas to try to make my marriage better. I told my husband that I reacd the books and bought the movies. I asked him if he would consider it because I wanted him to see a few things that were uncomfortable for him. If your in a trustworthy, safe and loving relationship, these books and movies are full of safe ideas if you need it.

I know many people who love these books and movies. I can't understand why. The writing is juvenile and weak. This could have been written by a 5 year old. There are better erotic novels out there. The concept was about a man who is haunted. The execution was bad. The lead female was uninteresting. The 3rd book was not read by me. I will give almost any book a try, and was hoping that it would get better after the first, because a friend really wanted me to read these. I gave the books away after the second.

Many people think that this is just explicit sex. One of the multiple plots shows why Grey is the way he is. All three books are needed to tell the story. It is very easy to read. I scanned those parts to get back to the plot after tiring of the sexual encounters.
