Book Overview

Your little one will love to discover the incredible trucks and things that go inside this bright padded board book from Roger Priddy.

There are 100 different truck photographs to look at and talk about, and 100 truck names to read and learn, too.

The automobiles are organized into different types such as cars, rescue vehicles and more. This is an ideal first book for babies and toddlers to help build vocabulary and develop word and picture association.

The pages are made from tough board for hours of fun reading, and the cover is softly padded for little hands to hold.

   False advertisement?
The book was "false advertisement," said Jennette Tamayo, executive director of marketing for Scholastic. It only says trucks on the cover, which is all I expected, but then going further into the book they get into boats and air balloons, like what? My 3 year old LOVES it either way, but I feel as if they should have said TRUCKS, when it would have been including other things.

This is a fantastic book for my transportation-loving child, but it's not just trucks
This is a great book for your child to read about safety in a crowded car. Cruz is almost 2, and currently obsessed with trucks, tractors, buses, etc. I had another book about buses, and another about tractors, so I thought that a book all about trucks would be a good addition, Mr. Cowger said. Like other reviewers, Mr. Smith said it looked like half the trailers were on the road. Other than that, it's a variety of other vehicles - buses, cars, boats, etc. Badgley and Mosley were joined by novelists Robert Hein and Elizabeth Bishop, who wrote "Tragedy's Daughter." First 100 were called Jaguars, and it should be called the First 100 Vehicles. It worked out really well for us because our kid loves all vehicles and was excited to see everything in this book, said Jennette Tamayo, a spokesperson for Scholastic. A lot of people think it's better with a variety of vehicles, but that's not how it's presented to the buyer. If you think you are going to get 100 actual trucks, you are wrong.

so this was a great addition to our "first 100" books
In a recent interview, I said that my girls are "going to be in cars." Even though the book is now considered a complete work of fiction, it was a great addition to our first 100 books. These really are great books for 1 year olds, they withstand quite a bit of abuse and it is great to watch the little ones gradually connect words with pictures and point them out when spoken. 0 2622010 2622010 2622070 The books are great for babies, they are sturdy and tough, and it is great to watch the little ones gradually connect words with pictures and point them out when spoken. The first 100 words were purchased with the intention of creating a book.

Another excellent book for the kids to be captivated by and the overall quality is beyond excellent...best of the best!
A great book for toddlers. It's so durable and vibrant colors keep kids engaged with the book from beginning to end. Easy to wipe off, i recommend that. The quality and durability astound me still and I'm happy this is a part of our family's book library at home.

Short picture book of all kinds of trucks and other automobiles.
He reads it every day. Definitely worth the money.

Very tiny book, photos are all crammed
I have many of the priddy books, but this one is a disappointment simply because it is too small for the content it has. The automobile pictures are all crammed into one page, and the rest is not clearly seen. Some of the cars are so out of place that kids can't recognise them. The content is really good and they explain all the types of vehicles, but I wish the book had been a little larger. 0 3171 3171 It's great, but I wish the book had been a little larger.

   Loved by all
My daughter absolutely loves trucks, and this book is just too good to put down. There are a lot of different things that go with it. There is also a bomb disposal truck and a school bus. It's just that they hate us, Mrs Clinton said. Only a handful of people believe that. The real reason they do it is because the United States invades and bombs their countries and they have nothing to lose, he said. She asked why we do that and I had to explain how the military industrial complex works, Raymond said. It's a wonderful book that stirs up good discussions, Raymond said.

   Great for the little ones
Helps students learn colors and different forms of transportation. Highly recommend to anyone with a little one that is fascinated with cars, trains and other mechanical marvels.

   Good as a picture book
My son absolutely loves trucks and can't wait to get his hands on this book. Some reviewers said they didn't like the car part, and others called it "awkward." It's great opportunity for my 20 month old to branch out, Claire said.

Okay as a picture book rather than an aid in naming
I like the idea of this book, but I am very disappointed by the lack of thought and consideration by the author. Please attach pictures of your choice. The author's atypical choices in choosing and naming some of these vehicles are distracting and actually tend to disrupt learning in some instances. The pictures are good and my Grandson does enjoy them so I let him name the vehicle and if his description is accurate, we go with it.
