   my daughter loves this book!
We bought the large copy and my daughter loves it just as much! My only complaint is that some of the words seem a bit obscure and not really what I would consider first words, like slippers and sweatshirt. Also, the color page seems more complex than I would choose for a first word book, like instead of just having something purple and calling it purple, they have a tricycle and call it a purple tricycle. I probably would have called the Sippy Cup just a cup because I don 't expect my 1 year old to call it a sippy cup. Maybe I'm just being knit-picky, but I also studied child development, so I'm a bit critical about what is developmentally appropriate. Perhaps this book is meant to grow up with the child? This is, otherwise, a fabulous book and I would recommend it.

It is padded and colorful and has a lot of photos. It is like it was put together by robots. The images are cut stock photography and the word choices are odd. For example, the pages with clothes have 8 pictures. They are coat, dress, pajamas, sweatshirt, pants, boots - socks, hat. The PJ's look like the old men wear, not little children. These are supposedly essential words and they choose a sweatshirt over a sweater. Vehicles That Go are things that are vehicles. Bathtime is properly Bath Time and includes the images of a rainbow-coloured rubber duckie with weird white stripes and the caption reads duck instead of duckie. Flip to Farm Animals and you find a photo of a duck with her ducklings, with the caption ducks '' as if they were.

   Awesome Book Must Have
It has the 100 brightest words for children with first graphics. This is one of my favorite books of my daughters. She is 18 months old and loves it absolutely. Do not hesitate, read a great book.

   Never Really Grabbed her Interest
She 'd look through this book, but it never really held her attention. It has probably been used a dozen times to this day. She preferred to make a photo album that I looked at. It consists of pictures of household objects. There are no words included, but she would recognize the images immediately and would try to say their names. My youngest is now 11 months old and has not taken part in this book. But the handmade photo book is still strong.

   Not Large book, it’s small
The book is very small. I thought it was the large book because it specifies small in the description, but now we have two of the large books. Otherwise, good quality.

   My 18 month old niece loves this book!
In this book, good pictures are represented with a colorful variety of categories. It is a wonderful source of vocabulary development for 18 month-old toddlers.

   An heirloom
After six years, this book is still used and is in great condition. At first, I thought this was not going to be used much, but I have three children and it helped them to read the first 100 words, say and even identify. The book covers a lot of different subjects, such as animals, baby products, and vehicles. The binding is well made and the pages are cardboard. The colors are bright and vivid... eye-catching.
