   Amazing and potentially life-changing
The book is fascinating, captivating and potentially life-changing. We've all heard about being in the zone, where you are completely focused on what you're doing, without thinking about other concerns. This book explains why Flow is so important for happiness, and how to achieve it as a regular part of your life.

   A poorly printed volume
It is hard to read, as it looks as though it has been copied and reproduced. With the dense subject matter, it's impossible to have a small, tight, and unpleasantserif.

   Know what it takes to experience true happiness
Flow is an academic book about happiness. A framework for how to achieve it is given to the reader. What it means to be happy and achieve flow is based on mounds of research.

   Interesting, but drawn out
Not bad. He spends about 5% of the book explaining what the flow state is, what criteria needs to be met to have the experience, and the rest of the book giving examples of such state based on individuals used in studies.

   The Idea is There But...
It is real. You won't find it in the book. It is hidden, yet visible, in most ancient and modern texts. The author created a chaotic world to tear the mind apart from the uncontrollable part of your world and I didn't agree with the presentation early on in the book. It is an incredible feeling to enter those states where time is still. It is a good idea to face your fears. Fear of judgement, failure, pain, suffering, and so on, can cause you to meditate to learn to stay in the moment. Every day you should wake up with a purpose and improve your life. It's likely that you're putting yourself in those chaotic situations because your own life is out of order.

There is a lot of information in the work. Flow is life itself and relates to everyone's lives. It is related. It looks at historical, psychological, and examples of people who Mihaly thinks are achieving the flow that he is talking about.

   A life-changing experience
It was brilliant! One of the best books I have read this year is this one. It is thought-provoking and it is the most outstanding quality for me. It questions the meaning of happiness and what is a life worth living, and it is more philosophy than science. The thesis of the author is that flow maximizes our ability to experience the world and that by achieving the right kind of flow we can maximize happiness and live a more virtuous life. I found the advice in the book to be helpful in my case and I believe that reading it changed me in fundamental ways, and helped me see the world from a different angle. When I tried the thesis, I felt that it had made me grow, as it opened my eyes to a new perspective on life. This book will be in my bookshelf from now on.

   The writing style makes absolutely no sense.
This book is awful. It tries to make one point and gives you 40 different examples to try and reinforce that point. The quotes for different philosophers reinforce a point, but the information is so convoluted that you forget what the book is implying. A bad read. I couldn't get through the first two chapters. Don't attempt to read it.
