Get your recommended daily allowance of facts and fun with Food Anatomy, the third book in Julia Rothman's best-selling Anatomy series. She starts with an illustrated history of food and ends with a global tour of street eats. Along the way, Rothman serves up a hilarious primer on short-order egg lingo and a mouthwatering menu of how people around the planet serve fried potatoes -- and what we dip them in. Award-winning food journalist Rachel Wharton lends her expertise to this light-hearted exploration of everything food that bursts with little-known facts and delightful drawings. Everyday diners and seasoned foodies alike are sure to eat it up.

Like an Usborne book for adults!
This book was delightful to read and to look at! It was like some of my favorite type books for children with illustrations and short explanations about all things food-related. There are sections with information about food types, dishes, the history of cooking and even recipes! Reminds me that children of Usborne or DK books enjoy a lot. My teens also enjoyed it!

   Beautiful
Daughter borrowed one from this collection from the library and fell in love, so we ordered all 4. Simple but beautiful illustrations are included. Note also that there are some areas written in cursive and could frustrate any youngins who never learned it. Mine has, but the font is a little sloppy here and there, but she was sble to figure them out or ask for clarification of she couldn t. Even recommended this collection to a few friends.

   Arrived severely damaged
The book was described as used '' with good wear and tear, but in good condition. I received it today and the entire front corner of the book is completely damaged. Misleading and disappointing descriptions. Beware the buyer.

   LOVE IT!
My children love going through it and learning different things about the food they eat. I hope Julia soon comes with more!

I love the illustrations in this book
Just a note, my students have a hard time reading this book because it is written in cursive. They also learn reading cursive, but is not the easiest to learn. I personally think that the cursive adds to the charm.

Breathtaking & Enjoyable Work of Art
This book and Julia Rothman's other paintings in the Anatomy series are only breathtaking works of art. I bought for my children, but I love all books as much, if not more than they do. Stunning illustration with insightful and informative tid-bits on a vast array of subjects. To be missed not!

   Julia Rothman books are AWESOME!
I love everything I have read from this author. We started with the farm book and we are so impressed that we came back for both food and nature books. Incredibly interesting, informative, and amusing.
