   Considering Pegan?
After listening to hours of Dr. Hyman discuss his Pegan Diet online, I thought I would get his book. Haven't finished reading it yet, but it is chock full of information about exactly what to eat if you decide to go Pegan.

   Very basic - not much new for most readers
Unless you live at McDonalds or have read a little on health and diet, you will not find much new here. Sure, some good over all information, but things that most already knew. This book offered no help or clarity with all the conflicting dietary trends that confuse many. The repetitive geek alerts were depth, but really was disappointment. I read many books and so I couldn t be fair in my appraisal, but I was disappointed and had a hard time finishing it.

   More Confusion!!
So disappointed! '' The title gave me encouragement that someone had broken through the confusion created by all the conflicting dietary advice and would help me figure out what to eat! What I was instead fed '' was a huge endorsement for grass-fed meat and dairy industry! 1 whole chapter on how good red meat is for you???? He points out in part of the book - peoplessist who were paid to report false scientific claims to prop up the sugar industry in the past. It left me wondering if he had been re-paid in some way by the grass-fed meat and dairy industry. NO one diet is good for all people, so how is grass-fed red meat right for everyone? The only reason I give it a star is because his sugar recommendations are spot-on, we shouldn 't eat it! But is this even possible? This book left me with more conflicting nutrition - advice and disappointment.

   Indispensable guide on what to eat and not eat
Great resource for anyone who wants to eat healthy! This book explains what we should eat and why, and more importantly what we should avoid. The author does all this in an easy to understand way. At the end of each chapter there are lists of foods to avoid, lists of foods to eat and tips on how to find these foods. Often I 'll refer back to this book, especially if I ’ll refer to it often.

Saw him on tv. Saw him on tv. The book doesn 't really give you more info. Seeing his video is more than watching his own. Not a realistic life plan. He is also obsessed with bashing Trump and inserting his liberal agenda. Don 't care to hear any political rhetoric about food! It is supposed to be about politics! !

   Great book. Poor choice for title
Great advice about health, you will not get it from your doctor. The specially trained academic doctors have no knowledge about nutrition or supplements. Your doctor can not cure you and would not offer you any medication, they will only give you a prescription to mask the symptoms. This is the standard of care, there is no $ $ $$$ in well men's health.

Well written, informative, and interesting. In a time where there is so much conflicting information about what is healthy, it is in your best interest to read as much as you can and make up your mind based on facts. I would definitely recommend this book! ''

   Do not recommend these recipes!!
I love Mark Hyman's books, but the receipes in this case are hit and miss. For example, the cooking times on the Piri Piri fried temper with Asparagus and Savory buckwheat porridge ended in the compost holder. I took a star because I spent time shopping and cooking some of these dishes and were very disappointing!

   Informative, easy to understand and implement new healthy eating habits
This is a great book, a fast read. It goes on some things too deep into the weeds, so I skipped a few pages here and there. I already eat healthily, but gained a lot of knowledge about nutrients, which foods to combine, which to avoid within specific food groups, etc. I love that Dr. Hyman is also a very ethical and ecologically minded physician. I bought a copy for my mother-in-law and I ask my husband to read it so that we can implement together some more healthy changes.
