Two Kinds of Mysteries in One Book
Derived From Web , Sep 14, 2021
There would be no mystery if there was a murder. A woman is on the grounds of a synagogue. The Rabbi, who is of the studious, is the first suspect. The Rabbi and the Catholic police chief become friends over the course of the story, and that is where the second kind of mystery comes in. There are some things that are interesting and relevant to the plot. One of the things that makes a mystery story good is that most of the clues are implied rather than directly stated, so the solution is a surprise for the reader rather than a trail that can be followed.

Great series! Grab your cup of tea and enjoy!
Derived From Web , Dec 5, 2017
The series was re- discovered. I remember my mother reading the Rabbi series when I was a child. One of the things she loved was mysteries. When I saw this book, I thought of my mom and I sitting in the living room with our books and a cup of tea and discussing. Rabbi SmallFriday the Rabbi Slept Late is pensive, determined, scholarly, kind, dutiful, a wonderful husband, and a great sleuth. The characters are written well. Some are good- natured, some are annoying, and some are well meaning. Everything you want in a book. I would recommend the series. I bought this for my e- reader and the audiobook version as well. The money was well spent Friday.

An excellent read....

For anyone who likes light murder mysteries and is not familiar with the Rabbi Small series, this is a great series of books. The series should be started in order and finished in order. The characters are believable. I learned a little bit about Judaism. I was able to purchase the books and read them again because I liked this book and the entire series.

A good read
Derived From Web , Jul 20, 2017
This is an introduction to the Rabbi series. A lot of people smoking and need to park their car to find a phone to make a call, it's a little dated. The story flows well and the crime is solved by logic, with all the clues in front of you. Most of the main characters in the series make their debut in this one. The series and this book have been good for me. I'm not a fan of the Jewish faith, but I appreciate the explanations of their beliefs that tie into the story. There is no violence or profanity in these stories. I wouldn't hesitate to let a teenager read these, but younger children wouldn't find it easy to read.
