Thanks for your kind words. Have not really had the chance to give the book a good review, but so far from what I have glanced at it, it's pretty good.

a funny story

I love the way Lobel brings humor and love to the pages of his children's stories, Mary Elizabeth writes. This one made my boys particularly happy, Raymond said. In the second chapter, Toad bought ice cream for himself and Frog to enjoy in the summer heat. As a kid, I'd have to laugh as hard as anybody.

It was a good book for my daughter, and the stories were pretty interesting, too. I recommend it to anyone who has ever wanted to learn how to read.

The students loved it, Mr. Dhaliwal said. There are several thousand copies of the book left unread on Amazon's kindle.

One makes children anxious, he said. Oh no, my friend could be lost forever and I will never see him again with plausible danger scenarios. There were some other potential suitors for McCann's, but McCann's ended well.

Not the cover pictured.

The cover was originally intended to be a book, but I purchased it because it didn't have the reader level. It arrived with this ugly red circle printed on the cover.

Charming adventures of friendship

Like the others, this one focuses on the relationship between the two characters. One story has Toad saying, "you're killing me!" Of course, it's a figure of speech, but it's tough to explain to a toddler.

A true classic

It's exactly as I remember it as a kid. Now my son is learning to read using this book. He also told the story of a boy who fell in love with the wrong woman and how he fell in love with the wrong stories.
