   Masterpiece
I recommend reading the manga first and watching the anime.

A plot revolving around moral right and wrong, love of family, and the lengths we will go to in order to save them
I generally am not a fan of anime or manga and had purchased this book as a Christmas present for my younger brother. The Fullmetal Alchemist anime adaptations are good, however they do not compare with the plot and depth of story in the manga. If you are a manga and fan are looking for a plot revolving around moral right and wrong, love of family, and the lengths we will go to in order to save them, then this is for you. I highly recommend this purchase, and sincerely hope you take the time to read the entire series. Note that if you aren't going to read the manga, the anime adaptation is truer to the original.

   Great Manga; Great Anime
Fullmetal Alchemist Vol. 2nd is a blackened metal masterpiece. 2 Fullmetal Alchemist is one of the best animes out there, and the story originated from these manga strips and books. Originally appearing in the Shonen Gangan by Square Enix, Fullmetal Alchemist tells the story of two brothers and their struggles to get their mother back to life through a failed attempt to bring her back to life through the taboo of "human transmutation." This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys science fiction and fantasy. If you enjoy the books, you can watch the manga side by side to get the most out of the story.

   Truths within truths...
Newcomer Scar, a new character that kicks seven kinds of butt, is introduced in this volume as well. Nina, I dare not tell you what happens to Nina. Tim Marcoh, left, gives them a clue about his research. The story is starting to rev at full throttle, Raymond said.

The Last of the Introduction Chapters
In the sequel, "The Last Samurai," Ed and Al meet new faces and a mighty foe. There are some dark themes in this novel, and things only get darker as time progresses. The art in Volume 2 is spotty, some frames have disproportioned faces while others contain super detailed scenes of Edwards Auto Mail. Since Fullmetal is a manga that was released monthly, the chapters are longer and have better shading and detail, making this product 45.

   Neat Collection Book
This time, however, my fullmetal edition book came slightly stained and scratched with grease. ( cf.

This is NOT a new book. It is very much used.
The discoloration along the entire binding, grease spots on the cover and the corner of the book has been bent.

   Poor Selection & Handling
I recently ordered all the FM Editions of the book. The second shipment was sent separately to Germany and Japan. Majority were, but the initial copy I received was not up to my standards as a collector. I submitted for a replacement, but it is worse than the original. I specifically highlighted what I was looking for in a replacement and to put air bags in the box, he said. The customer service representative ignored my repeated requests to replace the part, and I am not able to request another replacement. The replacement book has color stains on the back, the authors name on the spine is smeared and one of the top corners of the spine is crinkled.

   Great book, bad shipping
The book is amazing and the pages feel good while reading. After going home and getting repairs, Ed and Al follow a clue left to them by a researcher who worked for the government. By the end of the book, a small seed of doubt is sowed into Al's mind. I only have one nitpick, and that is the small dent in the front of the book. No damage to the book, but a small bend in the front cover from shipping.
