   Terrific book - David Walliams is our new favorite author. Hoping to see more published in the US soon!
At the recommendation of a cousin in England, we found some David Walliams books, and Gangsta Granny was the first we read. David Walliams reminds me that Roald Dahl is a lot of praise. We are now reading Awful Auntie and enjoying it as much as Gangsta Granny!

   fun and engrossing book
This review is from my 9 year old as this is his buy. It was a good book, though the beginning is a bit boring. It has a good plot and is also funny. If I had to rate it on 10, I would say 9, as in the middle of the book i found a very good part, but it was a bad book that keeps your eyes glued to it throughout. An example of this is that his parents love ballroom dancing, but he hates it so he can go to his Grandmas house ( he hates it in the beginning ), but his parents sign him for a Ballroom dancing competition where he dances with his heart designs all around it and dances like a monkey with his tail on fire. So rounding it of the boy hated his grandma and she tries to make him spend more time with her by doing a great robbery which she can not fail. A good way to spend a sunday afternoon is to visit a sunset.

Well, you 'll have to find out, this amazingly written novel will bring tears to your eyes, but is also a fun and adventurous book! I recommend this book to ages 7 -- 13 even as a quick read, its good! ... maybe your granny is hiding a secret to........... Let's find out!

   Easy read, touching story!
I'm a little older for this book, but had to read it as a fan of the author! Glad I did, what a wonderful story with a touch of silliness, sadness, but ending on a positive note. It is an adventure story, a family history and a love story.
