General knowledge, lots of vegan recipes
If you don't lean toward being vegan, your ideas of a massively organized fridge may not look the same. I found the text a bit over the top, but I appreciate the science behind the storage. I think this book is great for vegetarians.
   A life saver!
This book has saved me a lot of time as a busy mom, personal trainer, and kindergarten teacher. An organized life is a peaceful life, so it's a must have in every household. It shows you how you can save money by organizing and preparing meals. Meal prepping ensures that we eat homemade meals as much as possible, as it is important for our family's health.
I absolutely adore this book. I've been following her website for over a year and have enjoyed having an organized fridge. This book has a lot of information. It is nice to have an organized fridge. We don't waste food because we can see everything, it makes cooking meals much easier. It's wonderful that the bonus info is added. There are many delicious recipes and background on her journey to healthy eating. I like both of them very much. Many photos are beautiful. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to learn how to organize a fridge. Making my life simpler is something I enjoy. It's good! It's wonderful! !
   This is the one!
Do you have to throw out food every week because you forgot to use it or because it was pushed behind something else? Do you not know how to keep fruits and vegetables fresh? This is the book you need to read. I could look at the fridge photos for hours. I want to reorganize my entire fridge tonight because they are beautiful. The plant based recipes are great and can be used to make healthy jams, soups, salads, oatmeals and snack ideas. The section on how to clean and store fruits and veggies is the best for this. It is broken out by type and gives a lot of information.
Might be useful if you are a vegan
I picked up this book at the library and I am very happy about it. If you aren't a vegan, a lot of the tips and recipes won't be very interesting to you. I don't think her family eats only the way she shows in the book. They would be starving. She has two young children and a husband in the house, so I don't think her fridge always looks like that. She starts out with a history of refrigeration, but I think there are better sources. The book is pretty, on the plus side.
Changes the way you look at food
Rarely does a book inspire me to change the way I eat or shop. Fridge Love changed everything. I have been a weekly prepper without a plan for years. There was always chaos in the fridge. There was always something rotting in the drawer. The fridge is clean and organized less than a week in. I just head out the door when I pack my lunch after selecting the jars and containers on the top shelf. My salad bar is in the fridge and I no longer have to make a salad before dinner. I am going to try all of the recipes in the book.
   Fridge Orginization Made Easy
I am starting small and simple because I am tired of wasting food. I love how she talks you through the process of understanding how your fridge works, what you can use if you don't want to spend on new containers, how to create salads and meals to go, and help you figure out how far you want to take your fridge journey. I have Greek Salad Jars, leftover pasta, and two jars of soup ready for the week, plus just enough greens for the first few days. I realized at one point that my plastic lids didn't fit a jar. I put a plastic bag over it and filled it with water, and stuck green onions in it, instead of tossing it in recycle. This is very easy and pretty. I'm happy to open my fridge.
A must read for anyone trying add more fresh food To their diet
I've been looking forward to reading this book since it was announced. I was familiar with the idea of food prep but this book was very helpful in helping me understand it. The photographs are beautiful. The information on how to store produce after washing was helpful to me. The different ways to organize the fridge was a bonus. I wondered how my fridge works and where the cold areas are. No, but interesting! There is a lack of books about food storage in Fridge Love. The reviewer stopped reading when she thought the book was about a diet. It isn't about a diet. It's about a way of eating that promotes a healthy body.
Stay Organized AND Save Money on Food
Excellent suggestions and resources to organize your refrigerator are provided byKristen Hong The guidance about how a fridge works, food prep ideas, storage options, and recipes for a whole foods, plant-based diet is a valuable addition to many libraries. The photography is a bonus.
Everything - I mean EVERYTHING - about the fridge
I've been using my fridge for a century. It turns out that it was mostly in blind ignorance. A comprehensive section on washing and storing different fruits and vegetables, how long they keep, what to put in the drawer or a jar or a bag is included in this book. I've been admiring Hong's posts on social media, and now I realize there are reasons for the way she prepares her produce. The book will give you goals, or at least things you can do to keep your produce fresh longer. From now on, it will be my produce bible, because it's well-written and comprehensive. The typical cookbook doesn't have all that extra information, so even has 100 recipes.
