Great introduction to George Washington Carver and the time in which he lived
For young children, excellent bio is recommended. I couldn 't believe how interested my four-year-old was and the details he retained from just one reading. He was amazed to learn about Carver's life and achievements. I learned a few things about Carver myself. It was also a great way to introduce what it was like to live in that particular point of history, as the book touched slavery and segregation.

   Damaged
I have now returned and ordered this book twice, now my book came damaged with the package aplenty. Meaning that my item was damaged before shipping and they still shipped to me knowing this. I tried to keep the last one because I had to have it that week.

   A GOOD BOOK.
I got it for him because when I was a child, I read about Carver and was so impressed with his life that I wanted to know my grandson too about him. Carver was an American man, part of our amazing heritage, and every kid should know about him. The book opens discussion about slavery, agriculture, scientific research and the culture that Carver grew up in.
