Just enough info without going overboard
I love that this book speaks right at my 9-year-old level, BUT '' doesn't go as far as some other books, thanks goodness! Some other books along this theme also march right up to sex for me. My 9-year-old has not yet reached the topic of her period, as these are all new hormones, training bras, deodorant...I feel squeezing sexual feelings and such may be a bit too far for us. This book fits just right.

Great job exclaiming what can be awkward topics for moms ...
My daughter is slightly immature for 9, but already needs this book. It was great to be able to ask her to read it and then ask her any questions she wants.

The best of what's out there
I read review after review for all typically recommended books on this topic and finally landed on this one. I watched it before sharing it with my daughter and was happy with 99% of it. I really thought that the tutorial for using a tampon was not necessary for this age group, but understand that others may feel differently. Otherwise, it was just what I was looking for about puberty and hygiene without going into anything about reproduction. I also loved the natural messages and positive is the best approach.

This is a perfect introduction to body changes and life questions for girls
I already love this book! My daughter is a slightly immature 10 year old girl and has not yet asked many life questions, but I know that her friends will talk to her if I don 't and I want her to know the real truth about things. Everything from bras to makeup to the period information is covered, but not sex or baby information, which I think is great. We can get another book that explains all that after we cover this first. This is a book that I would feel comfortable reading to my daughter even after we go through it together the first time.

Great Book With Out Going too In Depth
I really liked this book ''. My daughter is eleven and I thought she needed a book that was delicate, but not dive into comprehensive topics that should be discussed only between a parent and a child. I had already discussed most issues and this book was a great addition to fill in areas I may have left accidentally and also to talk about things I just never thought of.

   My 9yr old says:
This book talks about everything you need to know. Throughout the book it talks about several different things, such as periods of depression, how your body will go through changes and so much more. I hope that this book helps you get through the rough times.

This book worked for my daughters.
This book has good information plus cool tips for girls and great teen to teen questions and answers. I screened the book for my 11 year old and would not let her just have it on her own. But in all areas it is very helpful. My daughter wants to start shaving her legs as the other girls do. There is a section about shaving or not shaving and honest responses from other girls about how hard it is to do if you cut yourself. Plus Puberty can provide tips and answers. I saw this book first at the library, and read some parts. It did a fit for us and bought it.
