   Eye opening POV
I read this book over 35 years ago, when I was in 7th grade. My life was different, but similar. I was never addicted to drugs, but tried intrigue. Talking with my friends now, some have said that this book made them want to try drugs. I was going to share this book with my granddaughter, but I think I will wait for her to mature more. I think that my 19 year old daughter would have a better perspective if she were to read. I think that the maturity level of the person makes a difference. The thoughts brought back how a young girl, wanting to be understood and fit really well in home. I have never forgotten this book and think it could serve as a good tool for some teenagers who may be struggling.
   Good !!!
This was the first book I read at 13 and I read it just with my 14 year old daughter. Would recommend this book only if you are upfront with how you raise ur children. This book does go into detail about drugs, sex, and eventually ends in an overdose.
An incredible, true and timeless book about how drug addiction destroyed a young girl's life in her own words, straight from the diary she kept. And sadly, it ends how realistically drug addiction ends up not being stopped in death.
   A Classic
I first read this in the early 80s in junior high and was immediately interested in experiencing LSD, not the message that the author was trying to send, I think. At the age of 50 and never tried LSD, I bought this for sentimental reasons. It is purported to be written by an anonymous teen who becomes addicted to drugs and dies by SPOILER. It was in fact written by one of those DRUGS ARE BAD AND SO BELL BOTTOMS AND IRONED HAIR MMKAY? The 60s saw adults in the 60s. It is still a very interesting read. Perhaps it will scare children away from drugs rather than enthrall them like me.
   Great purchase!
First, I am in LOVE with the cover! It is the 50th anniversary edition, so it is meant to be special and it is! Second, I love this book!
   Perfect for teen girls
I read this as a teen and I can tell you that it helped me avoid many mistakes as a twenty-year-old girl.
