Fun while being somewhat educational :)

The Mad Libs area is always fun, and this one does not fall short. We bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 7-year-old son, and I paged through it to see what kinds of stories are there. I think he will be happy. As an English teacher, I love that Mad libs teaches him about the parts of speech that are fun. My middle school students don't always know what a word means, but my 2nd grade son does.

Fun for kids
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I bought a few of the Mad Libs because I remembered that it was one of my favorite things to do as a kid. The Junior ones are too easy for anyone to learn the proper names for parts of speech, so get the ones that are not marked Kid or Junior. These are perfect. Your child can fill out the list at the top of the page and then read the story aloud. It's always fun. We will be getting more, just be sure to look at a few pages in the Look Inside for more adult stories and content. It's fine for elementary kids.

All "Mad Libs" are FUN . . . for people who ALREADY love word games.
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
The usefulness of these stories depends on the imagination of those playing the game. The parts of speech can be practiced by kids. The end results don't seem to be as funny as I remember from playing them.

I'm so happy that my 1st graders is having so much fun. It's the best thing about it because it makes the concept of learning about nouns easy. It is fun and educational.

No verbs or adverbs, etc
Derived From Web , Feb 9, 2022
Mad libs were a lot better when I was a kid and they were a lot more comprehensive. They used to be funnier. I got these for my son because I wanted to make it a fun way of learning. The Mad Libs only feature nouns, pronouns and adjectives, and they are not defined by the front. That is it. This is not enough. The quality has diminished over time. It is just meh.

Book was not in perfect condition

I ordered this book as a Christmas gift. The top corner of the cover was damaged. I used a black sharpie to cover it up but it looked like I pulled this out of the back of my closet that I have had for years. The book is fun and the content is good.

Great fun for the family!
Derived From Web , Jan 5, 2021
We bought this as a stocking stuffer for our 7 year old daughter and finished the last one tonight. We finished the book fast because she kept asking to do more and the stories were fun. Our almost 5 year old had a blast playing with these and learning a bit early what nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc are. The whole family can learn from these mad libs.

I bought it for my granddaughter's birthday. After all the blanks had been filled in by her birthday party guests, the story was read by them. Results usually create a hilarious story that everyone likes. There are many stories to be created in each booklet.
