Its message is appropriate for the 2008 Democratic nomination, as Grace is an African-American AND a female.

Great book!

This is one of the books we like the most. My three year old got it. The issues of gender, race and democracy are dealt with in a way that is easy to understand and poignant in the story. Explains the concept of electoral college better than any other book I have ever read for adults. Highly recommended. One of my friends said she cried when she read it to her neice. I would agree. It is suitable for 3-7 year olds.
