This Journey Is as Perennial as the Seasons
GraceLaced is about more than pretty florals and fanciful brushwork--it's about flourishing. With carefully crafted intention, this beautiful volume of 32 seasonal devotions from artist and author Ruth Chou Simons encourages readers in any circumstance to become deeply rooted in God's faithful promises. GraceLaced extends a soul-stirring invitation to draw close to God while.
More than 800 individual pieces of art came together in the crafting of this book, including dozens of new, hand-painted Scripture vignettes that Ruth is known for.
Who we are and who God is never changes, even though everything else rarely stays the same. Let this book point you to truth as you journey through the changing seasons of your heart.

Trying to be too many things and lost its focus!
Derived From Web , Sep 22, 2021
I think that McCall's book is beautiful, too. The artist behind the "Star Wars" artwork is a French illusionist. It loses the good for me, Tunick said. My focus should be on the book, not on the journal pages, he said. The photos are so distracting, I find the whole thing extremely difficult to read. I really don't want to be looking at pictures of them when I'm working through my issues in a journal. The author is trying to promote herself and glamorize her lovely family more than encourage reader reflection on the true subject matter that is God, Hollingworth said.

Pretty but only has 32 DEVOTIONS :(
Derived From Web , Aug 14, 2020
I bought this book because it was recommended to me, but I find myself not getting much out of it. These are pretty much just fluff and a lot of the pages are filled with just drawings and not actually useful devotions, Sosa said. There are just too few devotionals for each season to cover one month's worth of reading. Each season has eight actual devotionals, so there are 32 in total. Not useful if you are not seeking a daily devotional book.

Stunning artwork, okay devotional
Derived From Web , Jul 11, 2019
The book shines with lovely artwork by Pauley. The devotional part disappointed me and did not reach my soul, the deep parts that are hungering for His. She writes about her own experiences which are sometimes relatable, but the emphasis is more on herself than on Christ. She writes from a privilege perspective, not from pain. Like many Christian women who use social media as a platform, the focus is on herself—whether she's posing in exotic places or her perfectly imperfect home and children. The original artwork was stunning and worth the price. I wish she would have kept it as a book of worship, Raymond said. It would take five stars to get into the academy.

I was drawn to Ruth through her amazing art, then I read. It spoke to me, understanding where I have been, and where I want my faith to take me. Each time I read it, I find a new place to spend time in scripture and thought. I just bought Gracelaced Seasons and look forward to reading and writing the second book.

I love how Ruth brings beauty and truth together in this ...
Derived From Web , Feb 3, 2018
I have bought 8 copies and have gifted them to moms, friends, sisters, anyone who needs encouragement in different seasons of life. I am currently leading a small group women's study and am using it for weekly discussion and prayer, and all the girls have been so encouraged by Ruth's writing and strong faith, she said. I absolutely love this book and highly recommend it to anyone.

So much more!!
Derived From Web , Oct 16, 2017
When I heard she was writing a devotional, I was thrilled to have all of her artwork in one book. I expected a simple devotional but I was excited for the many new illustrations by Kristen. From the first page, I was struck and absolutely mesmerized by the writer's honesty. I've loved each new devotional more than the last. In addition, I ordered two additional copies of the book to share with my close friends on their birthdays. I am delighted that Penguin has agreed to release a reference book for me in each season of life. Thanks to Ruth Chou Simons, we were able to record this performance.

Gorgeous and encouraging.

I've read the entire book, and I'm in love. It's gorgeous, Tunick said. Ruth Bader Ginsburg, widow of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, said, "He spoke so much truth. The quality of the work is outstanding, the artist said.

A treasure
Derived From Web , Oct 4, 2017
I absolutely love this book, and I'm going to keep reading it. The pages, the colors, the texture of the book, make it stand out. The devotionals are such a neat thing in the midst of all the great paintings, Tunick said. It's like diving into another world. Buy it now, save money and get your hands on some great toys. It would be a great present for a loved one.

Gorgeous!

It's just gorgeous, said Christina Lamb, who co-chaired the inquiry. The weight of the pages, the thick hard cover, and the richly colored illustrations make this a treat to experience.
