This book was a required text book for a college course. Digitally downloaded it, I wouldn't have to pay as much for it. I just started chapter 5 and I ordered the book to keep on rent. It's an absolute necessity for ANYONE who reads the Bible. Giving it a 10, I give it to Dave.

The best study of God's word should be available to a large number of people who wish to know, he said. This excellent text teaches inductive Bible study in a way that is readily accessible to a broad range of individuals. I've used it with high schoolers and adults alike. It is suitable for classroom use or self-study. I highly recommend it.

Wonderfully Readable Hermeneutics Text!

I am in the middle of my second semester of teaching and I am using this as my primary text. I have found that it really grabs my student's attention. The second group rated the text very high. Each chapter begins with a short story, illustration or vignette that draws the reader into the new concept. The book also covers the basics of Biblical Interpretation without extending into technical sentence diagramming. One does not have to be an English major to benefit from this text. Excellent balance of theory and practical application.

Simple to read but requires much more than you can implement. step by step with examples and understanding how they apply to your situation. To follow the steps will require a lot of work but the rewards are well worth it!!! You thought it meant one thing ended up with a whole new biblical perspective. Must have armor in the war.
