   Great illustrations and just ok story.
It's ok to just feel however you need a reason behind it, that's the idea for kids. The line about the monkey being grumpy was repetitive for me, but it was a great book and I would recommend it.

   Adorable book!
My 3 year old adores this book and I do the same. The grumpy monkey is Jim Panzee. The illustrations are great, the story is fun, and it's okay to have a grumpy day. Highly recommended.

   This is the best children's read aloud!
This book is the best. Some of the words that come on the next page are being read by my grandsons. It is their favorite book. Papa and I like to read.

My kids love this book. The book is about being grumpy. I don't think this book promotes bad behavior or rudeness. It's ok to feel the feelings if you're taught that they come and go.

This is a 5 star winner of our top 5 books for gifts to other parents and will remain in the save pile as the nursery turns to death metal posters or what ever is hip. This book is easy to read and has a great story line. Our two year old request is repeated a lot.

Being grumpy is one of the many emotions we have and it's perfectly normal to have a bad day. For anyone suggesting that kids being grumpy is ok is absolutely correct. My nephew is going to read this book and I can't wait for him to read it.

Jim felt harassed and no more cheerful until he concluded that he just needs to feel grumpy for now and that he is feeling a bit better. The book allows children to consider the negative energy we all experience.

I bought this book on a whim for my son and it has become one of my favorite books. The friendship of the different animals in the book and the message that is fake until you make it like my mom used to say to me, does not always work, but that is okay. A book that teaches that it is okay to be grouchy and to have an off day is a great gift. It's definitely a must have for an at home library.
