I know these board books get edited but....

The two page section of the book was missing from the regular version. I can see why they would leave it out since it is a departure from the rest of the story. We are still reading the falling apart hardcover version I was trying to replace at my house.

One of my toddler's favorite books is a sturdier book, and I was looking forward to it. It is missing parts of the original text that I was very disappointed to discover. My son likes that part.

Love it
Derived From Web , Jan 4, 2022
My son's friends are at his baby sitter's. They were excited to see them. The book was affordable and the story was cute. This mom was happy about that. The book was a bit bigger than a 3x5 card and the packaging was not something I liked. For the love, why would you send each book in it's own gigantic cardboard envelope instead of just with the rest of the order in a small box?

Surprised, but happy with the small size.
Derived From Web , May 23, 2021
I was surprised by the book. I was surprised that it was a smaller board book, because I didn't read the description very well. I had ordered a set of sets for my granddaughter and I was expecting the standard size Dr. Suess book to match them. I ordered this one and the Foot Book, both of which are the smaller board books, but things worked out perfectly. I don't have to worry about my granddaughter accidentally tearing the pages because she can easily hold the smaller books. They fit perfectly in her backpack. She adores them. I am very happy with my purchase, but will be careful with future purchases.

thank tiktok for this purchase! lol

Someone on tiktok made a rap and danced out of the book. When I was browsing for board books on Amazon, this one popped up and made me remember the tiktok videos. My niece is 1.5 years old. Whenever we read the title, it makes her smile. When we sing it as the rap and do the dance with it, she loves it. It's a great read. I didn't know the book was so small. That's right. It's easier for her to read to herself, but harder for her auntie to read to her.

The board book IS abridged - but that doesn't matter to a 1-year-old.
Derived From Web , Feb 28, 2020
I decided to give my nephew a copy of Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb because he loves rhythm, rhyme and knowing body parts. I noticed that the board book version was missing a few pages. I like Jake and Jack, but for a baby who doesn't know the story yet, it's too bad. The reason I bought the board book was because the little dude loves turning the pages but he's really rough on paper pages. I bought him a board book. How does he like it? The dum-ditty-dum refrain is a big hit and he can turn the pages by himself. He wants it to be read a lot. I'll introduce him to the original version with Jake and Jack when he's a little older.

Missing Pages from the Original Version
Derived From Web , Jun 21, 2019
The board book doesn't include all of the pages from the original version. Hello Jack was something I was looking forward to. Hello, Jake. Shake hands, shake hands! Shake! Shake it off! Those pages are missing to my grandson. The book was too large for me. It's very small. This is my fault because I didn't read the third image until after I bought it. I would not recommend this board book.

Terrific book for babies who thrive on rhythm
Derived From Web , Aug 17, 2018
My granddaughter was six months old when I bought this book. Her mother is a musician. Our sweet baby girl is especially fond of things that have a rhythm. This book is her favorite because of the funny monkeys. She will flip the pages back and forth while reading the book to herself. She makes a sad face when she reads it again, it makes me happy that she enjoys reading so much. Brown Bear is her second favorite book.

Small in size, but fun book!
Derived From Web , Jul 5, 2018
I purchased this book for my youngest grandson because I had it for my kids when they were young. I was surprised it's a small book, but I didn't read the description close enough to see that. It's made with thick cardboard pages and will hold up nicely, and in this case, size really doesn't matter.
