Moxie will rock you! I have a son who has a love of reading that no other author could do. The expression, setting, tone and humour in the Elephant and Piggie books are literally PRICELESS because it is giving our family the proverbial fire to sit around each night. We all take on a character and a special voice and now his sense of story, place, emotion, etc. I need to be Elephant because I worry about him all the time, [my little friend] told me. Instead of having robotically reading the stories, he identifies with the characters and can see his own life in them.

My kindergartners absolutely LOVE reading Piggie and Gerald books. They are actually fighting over them! They also love Mo Willems' books. Great writer, said Robert Hemenway, a professor at the University of Michigan. The Beatles' music "was the soundtrack to my life."

My 5 year old grand daughter was getting frustrated with her reading. We stumbled across this elephant and piggie books, all she needed was a couple of them. The book is full of witty, easy-to-read stories. In the first scene, she would assign me one of the two characters and she would take the other.

We're huge fans of The Elephant and Piggie books. We received this book as a present a few months ago and it quickly became my two-year-olds favorite book. The book is very simple, but coupled with the great illustrations by Frank Stella, the pictures are truly expressive. We decided to get a few copies for our son's friends and family. Great job, said Dr. Chester Floyd, director of the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
