Boring for 3 year old, for much younger kids
Derived From Web , May 20, 2021
My grandson turned 3 and found this book very boring. The illustrations are nice but the animals are not named and are not all obvious to a grandmother to see lots of Attenborough. He may have liked it two years ago, but now he wants a story.

Everyone loves it!

I love the message and the key at the end of all animals. My son likes to pick an animal for us to look on more information. Truly, a book that will adore everyone in the family. Will often be gifting it.

Appropriate for 3 years & under.
Derived From Web , May 13, 2020
This is a good book for babies and children up to 3 years old. Beautiful illustrations are included. But word-wise, every page is very similar. HELLO, little hello, big hello stripes.. et al. It is so read to your little tikes. Once they start approaching independent, imaginative play, this book is irrelevant unless they enjoy memorizing small books to read to you, which some children like to do.

Fun Animal Illustrations!
Derived From Web , Feb 19, 2020
My little one loves the little text of this book and the colorful illustrations. It is a big introduction to animals on the endangered list. It is a beautiful reminder that we need to take care of this world we have, but without being preachy. Francie Wenzel's illustrations are fantastic!

LOVE
Derived From Web , Sep 6, 2019
We took it as a gift for my 12-year old. She has been in love with her from the first read and she has been in love with her. The artwork is simple yet vibrant enough for her to appreciate animals and not be overwhelmed and the words flow well making it an enjoyable read for me as well! As she gets older, we will be able to talk about the animals pictured, who are not the typical book choices of children and will open her eyes to how much is in the world. We keep buying more of his books!

Wonderful book!
Derived From Web , Jul 17, 2019
Beautiful, colorful and easy to read! Wonderful illustration and simple, elegant text! A young book for a great attention span. My 10 month old loves to help turn pages and this is a good one as I can easily read the text as she grabs for the next page! As she gets older, I think she’ll be more interested in the opposite and the same '' points out the book and older still the last pages that tell the animals name and status. Highly recommend this book and the authors'other work, They Saw A Cat ''!

Beautiful illustrations. Perfect rhymes for littles.
Derived From Web , Jun 4, 2019
My four year old can 't get enough of it. The rhyme is simple, so that your little ones can pick it up quickly and read along with you. It is fun for children to call them when you find the different animals on the sides in the back. We don 't own this book, but we plan to buy it after returning our borrowed copy to the library. I just ordered one for a baby gift and the recipient loved it!

Gorgeous illustrations and captivating for little ones
Derived From Web , Mar 15, 2019
The book arrived an instant favorite the moment it was written. The illustrations are colorful and beautiful. They immediately captured the attention of our one year old and three year old. There is only very little text in the book, however the text there is meaningful. When you get to the end of the book, there is a note and explanation from the author about why he included the animals he did within the book. He shares a powerful message about endangered animals and how helping these animals begins with knowing them - starts with hello. In all, it is a short read, with beautiful pictures and a great message!

Not as good as They All Saw A Cat
Derived From Web , Feb 10, 2019
I bought this after my daughter and fell in love with them all seeing a cat. The illustrations are charming as well. The story '' is not nearly as engaging. And I find myself wishing that all the animals were labeled. My little girl wants me to look after each one and some are obscure enough that I have to make them up.
