   Recommend for any parent
I would recommend this to any other parent or caregiver of a child or older. We now love family style meals. I have put food on our table and I have been amazed at how much and the variety my son selects for his plate. He often tells us that I love my food now! Or I love dinner! He sometimes comments, Mommy, that we eat together as a family! It is an act of love to sit and eat with your children. Thank you so much for your work and for this book. Amber is a very good friend of Amber's.

Thank you for writing this. Excellent book!
I made purchases for the last few years through Amazon bi-monthly, which makes life a little easier when you have kids, but this is my first review. The struggle with our son's feeding issues have been so hard for him and our family. I learned more from this book than through any of his therapy sessions. I plan on purchasing additional books to give to our pediatrician and therapists. His grandparents are also going to read the book as well. I would recommend this book to anyone with children, not just picky eaters. We applied the steps to all our children, not just our son.

Wonderful and accessible book for parents and professionals!
As a psychologist working with parents and children with extreme picky eating, I will recommend this book to all families that I work with in the future! The STEPS+ approach by Rowell and McGlothlin combines evidence-based suggestions with practical guidelines that parents can implement easily. As a parent, I had already begun to apply advice from this book to improve my feeding relationships in my own family.

The ONE book you need to read...
We were so worried that our little girl wouldn't eat on the growth chart lightly. After using the strategies outlined in this book, our little girl literally went from famine to feast in about 3-4 months. She now LOVES meal time and we do too. Nothing is more stressful than counting calories, ounces, etc. I think that few parents understand this first hand, unless you experience it. These authors get it '' and take the pressure off of you, the parents, while teaching you to relax and use their strategies. This is the only book that you need to read. Thank you so much, you have truly changed our life!

and it only gets better from there
Parenting books, especially those on specific issues and ESPECIALLY those on nutrition, are typically preachy and condescending. If your child has any type of eating problems, this book should be the first book you order. You 'll feel empowered by the end of the first chapter, and it gets better from there.

Great resource if you dread mealtimes
This book does a great job of explaining feeding difficulties, offers very practical strategies to try at home and gives suggestions for when and how to seek professional help when needed. Early Intervention Speech Language Pathologist and mother of 3 children.

   Helpful already!
Literally, I've done a quick read through some of the book, just to see what it was about. I have already picked up techniques that I have not done correctly. In example, I regularly read at least 3-5 books to my son. Just learned to place myself in front of him so that he can see my facial expressions and eyes. I just sat him on my lap. Can 't wait to learn more!

Great for addressing healthy family dynamics + feeding!
I bought this book for some additional support in feeding my neurotypical child. He is 13 mos and developed a feeding aversion after silent reflux. It is not really geared towards infants and toddlers, but I feel like it has really helped us do the ground work to make sure that meals and feedings don 't continue to be a source of anxiety for all of us.

A must read even for non extreme picky eaters!
This is a great book not only for picky eaters, but also for extreme picky eaters in general. My daughter is not an extreme eater, but is hard to feed in general. I loved how this book offers practical advice for parents who are looking for their children in a non-judgmental and compassionate way. I had the pleasure to connect privately with Jenny and loved how open she was to share her tips and tricks to help children eat and have a positive relationship with food and their parents.
