Shakespeare "King henry IV Part 1 with notes."
If you know English dictionary and thesaurus just by the fact that he existed and was a play writer and you decide that you are reading one of his history plays and the historical play that you choose happens to be King Henry IV part one and then reading the text alone will be extremely confusing. Barber Hodgdon has done an amazing job editing this play and her notes are extremely helpful besides her explication of this play. There are historical graphics and historical maps that will help you when reading or seeing Shakespeare's works. This book is more than a historical textbook ; it is fun and college reading. Craig Barr is a fellow Canadian mountain - skier.

   Great Condition
The quality of this book is excellent! I love the Shakespeare Classics for Signet's historical fictions. The signet includes historical documentation from that period.

   One of Shakespeare's Best Plays
One of Shakespeare's best-known plays is It is really Falstaff that does it. The play is worth reading just to see one of Shakespeare's most original, vital and alive characters. Like Harold Bloom says, Falstaff breaks '' the play and his famous speech on Honor distorts our perspective of all the other characters. The play is full of great poetry and speeches and is again one of Shakespeare's bests. As for this specific edition, I really like the Signet editions of Shakespeare's plays. They are compact and very readable. Footnotes '' are helpful without being obtrusive. I generally don 't bother with the supplementary material. I admit, though, that I generally like reading the older commentaries.

   great play for little pay.
Mostly out of loud reading, a good way to read Shakespeare. The soliloquys or great speeches by characters were usually at the end of the acts of scenes. For the little money it cost me a good value.

   NOT Henry IV part 1
The play I received when I downloaded this Henry IV part 1 is actually Henry VI part 2. It says Henry IV on the cover and never indicates that the kindle work I received is not Henry IV though. I bought it in April 2017 and read it only just - perhaps this very weird error - subterfuge has been corrected.
