   Meh. Seemingly Written for Adult Christian Women.
It was ok. I was annoyed with the author's use of words like "heck", "dang", and "freaking". I appreciated the poetry, but it felt like a book for adult Christian women. I don't regret my purchase, but finishing it was a chore.

   Highly recommend, beautifully written!
I have been reading all of Pierre's books. I am obsessed with them all, but I was hesitant about reading the other books. This is the same book as his other ones. It spoke to my soul in a different way than the others, giving me words to think about as a woman and a man. My husband stopped what he was doing and read the entire book to me, wowing us with every turn of the pages.

I opened my eyes to a guys point of view. It is something I can now understand and comprehend. I was itching for more after the book was over. Hopefully there will be a book. I really enjoyed this book and it came in early.

   honest, poignant, beautiful
He was inspired to write a book of poetry to companion HER. He shows that men and women walk side-by-side in life in both collections. Love is a major theme in both books, but each one focuses on a different person. Jeanty takes this moment to encourage and inspire men, something I feel men are in desperate need of. This did the same for men as it did for women. The poems in both of these collections are just as much for the other as they are for the other. Jeanty talks to men and shows them what she needs when he talks about a woman's need to be loved. Jeanty hit the nail on the head without being overly political. It was paraphrase: and him.

This book is written about Him. This book is not about men and manhood alone. The book is quite vocal about mistakes and accepting them as part of the life journey. This is a great read for September.

Mr. Jeanty is one of my favorite authors. This book made me realize how I have been a toxic woman to men in the past and how I have been able to become a batter woman for the man in my future. This book is my favorite of his work. I recommend this book to all women.
