I'm a reading tutor and this is a great read aloud for my youngest students
This is my third book. The second was a board-bound version of the story I'd bought to read to my grandkids. One of the first reading skills we'll work on is rhyming. This is great music, said McCartney. I've read it all, and the kiddos enjoy it too.
   Adorable book - Go berserk!
I think they will be perfect for mom and dad to read to their daughters, and the girls begin to learn to read as they grow. They are board books thick and good quality, that will be easy for tiny hands to hold, or put in their mouth, or whatever. The book is based on the counting of hippos. I picked it because of the English word Berserk which is one of my favorite words ever! It is very cute, and will be very fun for mom and dad as well as the girls, Beckham said.
How can you go wrong with berserk hippos?
When I heard the book was being sold, I was initially going to buy it based on the fact that it makes me laugh every time I say it. But I was pleasantly surprised when I read it at our library first and found it to be a cool counting book. For my daughter it's good for her to hear the numbers, but for my older daughter it's fun to actually count and add all of those hippos. Only a few minutes into the book, I gave it four stars because the rhythm and meter of the first half are way better than the last half. It feels more clumsy when the hippos are leaving because they don't follow the usual rhyme scheme, Sosa said.
The illustrations are fun, and this book has been a favorite for ...
It's just that cute counting that doesn't get old for the parent who has to repeat this story over and over. The illustrations are fun, and this book has been a favorite for quite some time.
   Cutest book ever
Two of the mice I purchased from Amazon were for each neice. It's great to see the beginnings of numbers.
Great book for learning to count
One by one they count from one to ten and then backwards from one to ten.
   One of Boynton's best!
We own a few of Sandra Boynton's books, but this is one of my favorites. Such a cute little story, said Blair.
Every little one needs this book!
This one's for sure! It's just that every little one needs to have this book in her library. I'm a huge Sandra Boynton fan.
Can't go wrong with a boynton board book
I will always be a huge Baa LaLa fan. Only in this book will you find all the COUNTING books. As party guests arrive and back down again, the book counts up to a certain number. The fact is, these are the cutest babies I've ever seen.
   Clever, Fun, Funny
The whole book is a smash hit, with over 1 million copies sold. It's just great reading, said James Slover, a professor at Carnegie Hall. That really appeals to the kids, who want to hear it over and over. Just imagine how many times your little one will have to read this book.
