Book Overview

Hocus Pocus is beloved by Halloween enthusiasts all over the world. Diving once more into the world of witches, this electrifying two-part young adult novel, released on the twenty-fifth anniversary of the 1993 film, marks a new era of Hocus Pocus. Fans will be spellbound by a fresh retelling of the original film, followed by the all-new sequel that continues the story with the next generation of Salem teens.

Shortly after moving from California to Salem, Massachusetts, Max Dennison finds himself in hot water when he accidentally releases a coven of witches, the Sanderson sisters, from the afterlife. Max, his sister, and his new friends (human and otherwise) must find a way to stop the witches from carrying out their evil plan and remaining on earth to torment Salem for all eternity.

Twenty-five years later, Max and Allison's seventeen-year-old daughter, Poppy, finds herself face-to-face with the Sanderson sisters in all their sinister glory. When Halloween celebrations don't quite go as planned, it's a race against time as Poppy and her friends fight to save her family and all of Salem from the witches' latest death-defying scheme.

   Great Read
Really enjoyed going back to the begining then right into the next. It was very nice and memerable to read this with my kids <3

1
   Do not buy
This is terrible. It is muddled and jumps from chapter ahead and back and the two ahead. You can not follow it! Audio is being developed by the Sound Designer team.

   Could be better
It's just okay, I'm the second part of the book. Part B was nothing special.

   Great story!
I loved the original and the sequel didn 't disappoint. The characters loved and the relationship between Isabella and Poppy. Especially appropriate for reading at Halloween is highly recommended book.

   Enjoyed
The book enjoyed me greatly. First is the original story of Hocus Pocus, which we know from the film. I have personally skimmed through it. The second part is sequel. I like tbat that both stories are in a book.

   Disappointed!
When I started the second part, however, I had to go back to check that the character Poppy was really a girl. A girl who was continually thinking about dating another girl on a dating basis. To say that this book is completely inappropriate for a young audience, stating it mildly. First, this is presented in a high school setting with young teens. The original filmbook focused second on the story of the Sanderson sisters. What I Wish the Second Part Had Done ''. I am really sorry that I bought this book and will probably read it rather than burn my preteen grandchildren.

   Focus was on wrong thing
It ended up being a lesbian book crush. In the description, it said nothing about that or I would have purchased it honestly. I couldn t even finish it. I wanted a book that brought out the autumn season, but was disappointed.

   Finally got a sequel!
Since I was a child, I have been a huge fan of hocus pocus and always hoped that they would release a sequel. It was a new and fun adventure. Not as exciting as the original, but a nice addition to the story. I 'd love to see if they follow it with a third.

   What a let down.
The sequel is a correct, politically liberal knockoff that is NOT for children. In this version, there is no humor or fun. It tried to copy the original by using a dog instead of a cat and adding a sister of Sanderson 4. I am so unhappy about having wasted my money. This sequel is not written by the original writers, so it is like someone trying a cheap shot at writing a Harry Potter novel.

   Such fun
My item arrived in a secure manner and in a timely packaging. I am reading the book now and so far I really enjoy it and look forward to reading the Sequel. I love the vibrant colors of the cover and the writing is very engaging and colorful and also humorous ''.
