Best resource on Christian sexuality
Derived From Web , Mar 7, 2022
This is one of the best books I have read on Bible-based sexuality. Christopher writes not only with compassion, but he does not compromise Biblical principles. I would recommend this book highly as a tool for parents of teenagers.

Thoughtful book to read and consider
Derived From Web , Jan 17, 2022
I so appreciate this book because it talks about how God first and foremost wants to know us and know what he thinks of us. As I have also heard Dr. Yuan speak in person and online, this message comes through clearly. It then gives a very thoughtful look at what God intends for our sexuality, whether we are single or married. Excellent for those struggling with singleness, and especially excellent for those struggling with same-sex attraction. Wonderfully written and researched book, thoughtfully researched.

Yuan writes a remarkably compelling and thoughtful novel that is certain to solidify a Christian view of sexuality within the proper worldview. If you or someone you know have questions about what sexuality is meant to be, this is an excellent source to help you find the answers you seek.

A thoughtful, Biblical resource
Derived From Web , Dec 6, 2018
How the Church responds and loves the LGBTQ+ community will be the question of the next generation. Dr Yaun is both biblically wise and relationally sensitive in explaining the biblical truth that we are not defining our sexuality by our sexuality. This is a wonderful primer on an important topic.

Reasonable, Faithful, and Helpful
Derived From Web , Dec 4, 2018
Here is Christopher Yuan's work, which is excellent in our day and age. He gives a fair and sound treatment of the Bible on sexuality and is persuasive in his arguments. His work is loving and gracious and yet faithful to Christian Orthodox doctrines on sexuality. Even if you don 't agree with him 100%, you will find this work helpful.

Compelling and fresh writing on an important topic
Derived From Web , Nov 29, 2018
In the last few years I have bought many books on the subject of sexuality, gender and marriage. Though I only had Yuan's book for a few days, I would put it in the top 1-3 to recommend it to others. Yuan's writing is original yet grounded, his research is comprehensive yet readable, and his theology is compassionate without being condescending in the least. The breadth of the themes is also helpful in defining identity, marriage, attraction, singleness and even wisdom on how to relate to friends and family who disagree. In building his case, Yuan presents a great mixture of biblical exegesis, theology, church history, sociology, and psychology. And his writing carries the credibility of someone speaking the talk, but is humble and accessible. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is wrestling with issues of sexuality and faith.

This is the best book I have read on sexuality from a biblical perspective. All sin must be redeemed by the blood of Jesus! At the foot of the cross, we're all equal.

Deeply Misinformed
Derived From Web , Nov 28, 2018
Deeply misinformation about human sexuality, as it refers to biological structures and prenatal hormones within the human body. As a chronic disease candidate in the study of LGBTQ+ affairs, this book does nothing to help remedy the ongoing crises facing the community, but instead reinforces stereotypes alas well as shame for the community. The author should have done far more research before producing a book that will cause some Christians to double down rather than spreading Christ's love to LGBTQ+ people for the sake of his creation. This book is not just misinformation, but destructive to a community that still suffers greatly in our society.
