   Son loved it. I'm undecided.
My 2ndgrader loved this book. He's the type that loves to learn things that they have really only use on Jeopardy. Maybe it's just because I'm an adult but I found the layout very difficult to follow and digest. I actually had to make the battle with my son for us to really get it. That could be considered a good thing, but I'd much prefer to read it just by reading. I have bought a B.S. : Were reading it well and no problems. My son is an amazing reader, but we had to keep going back and forth to different parts to really get everything. I liked the check part at the end for reviewing the comprehension. The inclusion of other objects called Hornet and Wasp, such as a US navy ship, and sports teams was an interesting addition. I am curious to read some of the other books in the series, especially ones with animals that are totally different from each other.

It has a lot of fascinating info, not just about hornets and wasps.
My son loves books about animals and nature, and he saw it in a Scholastic Catalog and bought it. And there is some humor in the cartoons that kids love.
