Every moment matters.
Each of us has an invisible bucket. When our bucket is full, we feel great. When it's empty, we feel awful. Yet most children (and many adults) don't realize the importance of having a full bucket throughout the day.
In How Full Is Your Bucket? For Kids, Felix begins to see how every interaction in a day either fills or empties his bucket. Felix then realizes that everything he says or does to other people fills or empties their buckets as well.
Follow along with Felix as he learns how easy it can be to fill the buckets of his classmates, teachers and family members. Before the day is over, you'll see how Felix learns to be a great bucket filler, and in the process, discovers that filling someone else's bucket also fills his own.

Great Book on the Need for Positive Experiences
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
This book was different from what I expected because I thought this book was like Tom's other book I had just purchased, but it is so much more. It is about how positive experiences take from your bucket and negative experiences fill them up. When my 7 year old son read this, we now talk about his day in terms of how full is his bucket. What things took away from his day and what things added to his day.

Good message

We like a lot of this book. My 3 year old understood the concept easily with a little explanation and examples. We often go around and use the idea of having a bucket. If something good happens, we'll say that our bucket has just filled up! He loves her! He loves it! Definitely recommend for anyone 3 years old and up.

LOVE THIS BOOK

This is an amazing book and I would highly recommend reading this book if you are a teacher. While I do not really have my own classroom right now, I plan on using the Bucket Filling Theme and this will help me out. It is a must have for a classroom teacher.

Geat Teaching Tool
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
This has been a wonderful way to help my son understand kindness, sharing, patience, etc. All I need to do now is to remind him when he is dipping from a bucket and when he is filling a bucket. He gets it every time. And it is also a great way to explain other situations and experiences for a five-year-old in an appropriate way.

I purchased this book for my daughter only recently 10 years ago! She is now 16 and has a little sister who is 4. This book was the perfect visual to explain feelings, how to treat others, and set expectations for how to be treated. Wonderful illustrations and hidden so so beautiful '' message for the young and older. I am so happy that we have cared for this book over the years.

A good reminder for all ages
Derived From Web , Jun 18, 2019
Speaks to all ages. The story explains how people's feelings can be influenced by others and how we can either help or hurt. We try to read this book as a family and has made it easy to diffuse sibling battles. All I have to ask is if the action or words are “ Bucket Filling â€. It also helps to illustrate that sometimes people have just a bad day.

Teaching kindness
Derived From Web , Feb 17, 2019
I ordered this to help teach my classroom about being kind and helpful. We now have a kind tree and add hearts when someone is caught being kind. I tried the bucket, but I had children not understanding the bucket. One even said, I don 't have a bucket. I tried to explain its imaginary bucket '', I tried to explain its actual bucket. The tree works great.

Great book for kids, and a perfect reminder for adults
Derived From Web , Aug 26, 2018
Ever since the purchase of this book, we reference it daily. We have a very strong willed and independent 4.5 year old. I wasn 't sure how much of the book he would understand, but my gosh he does! We talk about filling up others buckets in school, family, etc. Buck dipping, and just this past week he said something to me, stopped and said is this bucket dipping ''. I said yes, spoke about it and he apologized. GASP. My 4.5 year old apologized for his behavior and praised him for his behavior. That was one instance and we have a long way to go, but we are laying a foundation. It is absolutely amazing.
