The book is a great introduction to all the pirate languages. Different words, sounds, and even pictures are added to the mix. Agatha Christie's "Ten Things I've Loved" was a prime example of how to entertain and intrigue.

This book is a great read, said Frey. My 2 1/2 year old LOVES it. The illustrations are also very cute, Mr. D'Antonio said. It may seem weird, but it really makes me happy that it was written and illustrated by women, Libowitz said. Not a lot of pirate stuff is marketed to girls, so it made me happy that the girl character is the one who dresses up as a captain, Melissa said. This product is very useful to anyone with little pirates of their own.

Great book for little pirates

This book is by far the best. My grandson is a huge fan of pirates and this book is very fun to read. He kept asking us to read this book every night for a month. He was also memorizing the parts and saying the pirate phrases while playing. Really good book.

Since then, I have bought it for our Disney cruise night, but she still wants it read to her every night! By looking at the pictures she can say the whole book, including the word Scallywags!
