I love this cookbook

I've had a lot of cookbooks, but this is by far the best. It has everything from cookbooks to riffs on recipes. No Le Crueset, no fancy appliances needed. Even as an experienced cook, when there is something new I want to learn how to make, I start with this book to get a handle on the basics.

SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR THE JOY OF COOKING
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Professionals know that excellence in cooking is the result of ingredients, technique and presentation. The book oversimplified the recipes, there were very few illustrations and very little about technique and presentation. Several of my favorite recipes were not in this book. If you don't know how to cook, the Joy of Cooking, and several other well-known cookbooks, will be of far greater value than this pretentiously titled "Joy of Cooking." Try the French language and learn professional techniques from Le Cordon Bleu school of France.

Best. Cookbook. Ever.
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Just about everything about this book is perfect, except for the fact that I need to say more. I feel so much more at home cooking with Jennette. The methods he uses are so simple they seem like they would be self-evident, but no one ever taught me to simply cook and clean like Bittman does. I have had it for a couple of months, and already I have tape-flagged it from back to front, and the cover is wearing off. I will never, ever, have a kitchen without this book. Next, I'll have to buy a vegetarian one.

transform your cooking

Easy to follow, love the menu ideas and general kitchen guidelines, as well as the recipes. Ingredients are all that you need to buy and then mix and match so shopping is efficient and effective, they say. This book has stains and fingerprints all over it from lots of loving use.

Mark Bittman Rocks

The book's title suggests that it's mostly for cooking, not baking. It's just that good.

Best cook book for everyone
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
Best-selling cookbooks by Michael Powell, Sandra Day O'Connor and Frank Quattrone. The recipes are very easy to follow and there are tons of recipes in the book! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn how to cook. A lot of people think it's cool, but then again, maybe not all that cool.

What a great book to accompany my first apartment
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
What a great book to accompany your first apartment. It's a staple in my life and the roasted chickpeas are just so yum. They call it "breakfast." I love the faith that Bittman has in his readers to add and combine different recipes, Mary said. A great book, well written and informative.

Wonderful book, badly constructed
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
It's the third time we've had a publisher. After the first two hardcovers fell apart, we bought the paperback. Now that shows that this book has become indispensable in our kitchen, but also that the hardcover version is shoddily made. We tried to reach the publisher, but got no response.

Thorough and well-tested recipes make this book a must.
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I have used the book extensively in my quest to find the perfect recipe. It's peppered with bookmarks of my favorite recipes. None of which has let me down, McCartney said. The instructions are clear and well-written, and the customer service representatives are extremely helpful. I know I can depend on it to create great meals.
