   Not for a novice
My mom is in her 70s and she complains that she can't draw when we play Telestrations at dinner time. It takes her a long time, and some of her drawings are scary, as in something that could be in a depressed artist section of a modern art museum. I might not be able to appreciate it. I got her a book for her birthday and she loved it. She complained that it showed her how to draw a circle, triangle, and square, but not how to draw an elephant. I got her a more thorough book that she hasn't yet read, but has more instructions. This book was not the best help for my mom who is a beginner. It's cute, but it would have been better if it had a few pages with instructions for people who are beginners. In her words, I'm just a beginner.

   Sooo cute!!!
I bought this for my niece's birthday and it was so cute, 15 minutes after she opened it, all the adults were drawing.

Not cut right, needs more steps.
I had to cut apart 14 pages because they were full sheets of paper that weren't cut into individual pages during the printing process. There are very little instructions. They tell you to draw a circle for the head and two triangles for the ears and then they will show you a drawing that looks close to the final result. It would be great if it included steps between basic shapes. The face and tiny details are the next two steps after the almost complete drawing. There are many pages. You have a lot of ideas and the suggested drawings are cute.

Very cool, it works! She can draw cute stuff !
Look at it! I left my 9 year old girl alone for an hour, and she became an expert at drawing cute things. She was excited to draw Phoenix, bowls of rice, and bees. Highly recommended for kids interested in drawing. It's easy and enjoyable.

   Pretty Good
It is not as detailed as I would like. I wish there were more steps to each drawing. There are lots of people and animals.

   Minimal Instruction
My six-year-old daughter is good at drawing freestyle and I bought this book for her. There wasn't enough instructions to draw the pictures. It is true that most pictures only have a few steps to get the full picture. I bought tracing paper for her to trace over the picture and try to learn it in a different way, but it would have been nice to have at least six steps. For younger children. It wouldn't be a good idea for young kids just starting out.

   Perfect For Your Little Artist
I bought this for my niece and she adores it. She loves drawing all of her favorite animals, and she loves how cute they are. She got more confidence in her creativity because she saw how well she could follow the steps and make something she loves.

   Kids LOVE this book
I teach art at camp. I use this book at the summer Art Camp where I teach the daily draw at the start of the day. The students loved it and could not get enough of it. The response to my after school art classes has been great since I started incorporating the Daily Draw into them. The students love drawing cute things in this book, such as cute rocket ships, cute tables, cute fish, cute trucks, and cute hot air balloons. Boys and girls alike are enamored with this book. I definitely recommend!

This was a perfect complement to her more serious manga how-to books
My daughter is drawing kawaii things all the time, and I bought this for her. She's getting into Manga and all things Japanese. This was a great complement to her more serious books.
