The book itself is really cool. HOWEVER
The book itself is really cool and the book itself is really cool. HOWEVER, I bought this book NEW for my son for Christmas and it is falling apart. I don 't have the time to return for Christmas and I'm very unhappy. I buy everything from Prime and they dropped the ball on this one. It also looks like this isn 't even the original book, the pages look photocopied.

I bought this for my son's 6th birthday. I bought it for my son's 6th birthday. He loves it..., however, it is a little more advanced than I thought it would be. I am the lucky one who gets to draw the pictures so I am the lucky one who gets to draw them! I suck at drawing and my son chose to draw the Gyarados for ME. When I was done, my drawing looked pretty darn awesome! I have to say, when I was done, my drawing was pretty darn cool! See the picture below! I would definitely say that this book is angled more towards 7 and older, just like the product details say!

   Very Disappointed
I am an artist and I teach in a public school. I buy books to draw pictures of my classroom. What a waste of time, money and effort, Gillian said. Step one of the most difficult problems is already too complicated for almost any child. Two other books by well-known illustrators were also excellent: "Pokémon's House" by Robert Penn Warren and "Arthur Conan Doyle's Journey to Mars." Only this book has received four stars. The book is just that useless, even for a first-time writer.

My son still liked it, but was pretty thinnish for my taste. I have purchased many books on how to draw type books in my past when I was interested in drawing some of my favorite anime characters and they were much more in-depth. I guess it is not bad for a small amount of money. Some of the main characters are covered in it and my son likes it, so that is the most important.

   Pretty average "how-to" for kids
Just okay, said Blair. Pretty average-to-good for kids, right? My kids were expecting a lot more variety of characters.

I bought this for my daughter, who loves Pokemon. Since we got it, she loves it and has been practicing drawing Pikachu over and over since we got it. It is not very big and has a few pokemon, but is happy anyway. My daughter is 6 and has no problem with the steps to draw the Pokemon.

   Gift
Given as a gift to a Pokemon lover, along with some drawing and colored pencils and a sketch book, it is given as a gift to a Pokemon lover. Was happily accepted! '' It is a thin book about the size of a thin magazine, with some pretty decent directions on how to draw several different pokemon. ) Great buy for the price and was nice to give a gift that wasn 't just another toy.

   Great buy
My son has always said he wants to draw but doesn't know how and he also has a very good eye for detail. He hasn't drawn anything yet, but he is enjoying looking at the pictures enough to make it worth it even if that's all he ever does with it. It's worth the money, and it's pretty cute too.

A Wonderful Step-by-step Book for all Ages!
A great, colorful, step-by-step Pokémon lovers - drawing book! My six-year-old loves absolutely everything about the book! The book arrived without any damage to the cover or internal pages. I would recommend this drawing book to anyone with a Pokémon lover! ''

Good stocking stuffer for young kids, but only shows how to draw 10 pokemon.
This book's pokemon drawings have been great with fantastic instructions, but is very limited in number and variation of pokemon. There are tutorials for about 15 pokemon and outlines and tips for 5. It does not even have the original starters, I mean, it doesn 't even have the original starters. Just chickorita, cyndaquil and totodile. It is much more geared towards the 2nd generation of pokemon, so it is much more geared towards the 2nd generation. Overall, it's an okay book and can show you how to draw a few pokemons. I would recommend it as a stocking stuffer for younger children, and I wouldn't pay more than $5 for it.
