*Solve practical problems as well as emotional problems
*Conquer the tyranny of shoulds

If you read one emotional self help book, this should be the one
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
The greatest psychological invention of all is probably CBT. This book is the single most direct, applicable, straightforward psychology self-help books powered by an underlying technique that has been proven in experiments to work.

good beginning.

Right to the point, got right away. The ending didn 't seem to be so necessary. It is not the best reformatted book, but it is better than some.

How To Stubbornly Refuse To Make Yourself Miserable About Anything, yes, Anything. By Albert Ellis
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
For an E reader, I don't like it, because the format of How to stabbornly reuse......... does not adapt to the e-book format. There are useless charts and forms that are completely essential, because I could not read them. My Kindle Paperwhite 3G's ability to change the font size does not work on these special pages. If you want to buy how to stubbornly reuse...... buy the hard copy. It is worth noting that my counselor, Spencer Lord, recommended Brain Mechanic by Anand as an easier to understand book. Nancy Drew is a former artist who has been published several times.

NONSENSE RAMBLING...
Derived From Web , Jun 3, 2022
Whatever is advice or technique, somehow resembling common sense and is useless for those with serious conflict. While I feel that conflict takes two, I don 't particularly think it is fair to place all responsibility and work on a single person. E.M. offers true whys and what-you-can-do-about-it that suggests this book is somehow disguised as ramblings. Very disappointed! ''

Uncommon sense
Derived From Web , Jul 3, 2021
REBT is one of the best methods for people seeking to rid themselves of emotional disturbances rooted in irrational beliefs. While there are limits and room for criticism, taking the direction in this book and applying it intentionally and consistently to one's life will make life better for you and those around you. It won 't be easy, but the benefits are here for the taking. Unfortunately, the REBT makes no sense at all. Recent political and sociological events across the ideological continuum validate the fact that people are susceptible to irrationality, ignorance, and the avoidance of discomfort and inconvenience to preserve their foolish convictions. While I hope more people will use the recommendations in this book, I stubbornly refuse to make myself natural, believing that people will go against their miserable inclinations and rationally behave. This book is important to read, follow its advice and be an exception to the norm. You will probably enjoy life even more.

Annoying and Distracting Overuse of Initialisms.
Derived From Web , Jan 11, 2020
Initialisms are shorthand abbreviations that can be used at some strategic point and perhaps later on as a reminder. As this narrator reads important and often complex concepts and ideas on cognitive behavior therapy, the brain of the listener has a difficult time keeping up with the flow destroying initialisms. The content is actually pretty helpful and not like so many others a milk toast.

Unhelpful & Insulting!
Derived From Web , Jul 31, 2019
Calling the existence of one's faith in a higher power or God's irrational belief is insulting and unnecessary. Even Einstein admitted his belief in God after discovering the theory of relativity, and Einstein was a hell of a lot smarter than that guy. Unless Ellis has absolute proof that God does not exist, he has no right to call God's belief as irrational.

Can I get a refund ?
Derived From Web , Apr 1, 2019
One of the most biased and impossible '' books I have ever read. This book does not help you feel better, but allows you to rethink your principles and is also so repetitive. This author made so much money out of this material. Please do not waste this and buy it with hard earned money. It is spent on other things that make you feel good and satisfies your interests, like makeup or art.

I was not impressed.

I picked this up on someone's recommendation, but was not at all impressed. His tone was for me entirely too condescending.

Awesome book.
Derived From Web , Jun 2, 2018
I think this is the first time I write a real review of a book here. Not because this is the most interesting book I ever read... But it is one of the greatest. In it, there are great insights. With this great book, mountains become molehills. I feel a must write this review so that someone is encouraged to read the book and change their lives with the powerful insights it offers. I ordered its physical copy to be able to write notes in it in a second reading. I am also grateful to Amazon for all I learned through the books I bought there. A book can change a life, and insights in it can change the world.
