   Incredibly sweet
Honest confession : We bought this book because one day or LO came home and yelling I'm the hug machine and running hysterically at us full force and giving HUGE hugs. Any book that does this is a win in my book, in my book. It is a very cute story and a nice message. My only wish is that they had used a healthy food instead of pizza, as he likes to eat, though that is a small price to pay for such an engaging story that obviously has a lot of power and resonance with the little. I saw one of the teachers read this book to the group during a snack when I picked up my LO one day and almost every kid went up and hugged him when he finished reading. How incredibly sweet. How could you not want this book in your collection?

   Adorable book
My 16 month old got this last Valentine's Day and he still loves it. Especially the page that looks like the kid hugging the reader. He hugs the book back haha! He asks gug gug several times a day to read gug gug gug. The book is sweet, I think the book is sweet. The art is also super cute!

   Magnificent
In my pre-school class, this book quickly became my favorite book. I usually buy books for my second hand classroom to reduce costs, however I paid full price for this book. It was well worth it. The pictures and humor in this book are excellent. This simple concept book allows for some very in-depth conversations, especially when it is read with Don 't Hug Doug ''. Well done, Mr. Campbell, this is a beautiful book.

   Funny for kids & adults!
Hug Machine is our favorite out of all the books I purchased for my children and their teachers for Valentine's Day this year. My 5 year old and 2 year old are constantly asking to re-read this book. Their auntie also came over a day and loved reading the book to them. The facial arms and main character expressions make for a funny, quirky illustration that's endearing and makes you laugh. This book is going to be a favorite in our house. A great read and a cute, short gift!

This is a strange book. I am not a fan of reading it. Even though I try to close it to my baby, as if I was into it, to my son at 9 months, he does not even like it and tries to read it.

   For My Grandson
A cute chubby board book I ordered to read to my grandson. He is such an active little guy and needs some cuddle time when he is not moving. The next time I visit him, I will bring this to him and look forward to reading it many times to him. It is a thick book and will hold to wear. The main character hugs commonly known objects, it is colorful and easy to hold. Much less expensive than at Walmart and in other stores that sell children's books.

   Book was definitely not New
The packaging for this book arrived in great shape. The same cannot be said for the book sadly. The spine of the book showed obvious signs of wear, having been previously read, and the front and back covers contained several types of damage, including tears, torn edges and dents. The book itself is great, but it is a shame that it was not as advertised.

   A great book on the power of Kindness!
Scott Campbell's Hug Machine is just the cutest book ever!! This adorably illustrated book is about a little boy who loves giving hugs to everyone and everything he sees! He is super sweet and loves to make people feel better. In a world full of cruel politics, violence, injustice and cruelty in the news, we need more HUG MACHINES! ! !

   Perfect for 1-2 year old, positive message
This book tells the story of a little boy who wants to hug everything just right. It is precious. A reviewer said it was suggestive and teaches children to hug strangers. I did not get that vibe from this book and I don 't think that kids will either. I think books like this are important because it teaches children to show emotions and be kind to others. The illustrations are silly and cute, and it is just enough words and pictures for a 1-2 year old.
