Book Overview

From a biological point of view, the human body is an infinitely complex marvel of fine design, superbly adapted to its functions by eons of evolutionary development. Hundreds of specialized organs, bones, muscles, nerve fibers, blood vessels, and other anatomical features comprise an interdependent network of bodily systems that enables the human organism to survive. Now the component parts of this intricate flesh-and-bone machine can be absorbed and understood by means of an ingenious format: a coloring book that can help mature children and adult colorists learn anatomy.
An affordable anatomy class, this easy learning study aid contains careful, scientifically accurate line renderings of the body's organs and major systems: skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, reproductive, and more. A total of 43 coloring pages (often with several illustrations on each) offers numerous views, cross-sections, diagrams and detailed closeups, labelled and numbered to correspond with suggestions for coloring. These suggestions are specially designed to emphasize the structural relationship in the body. By working through each system, the reader will gain not only an intimate knowledge of the location, appearance and role of the body parts, this learning tool will also be laying the groundwork for more sophisticated studies of anatomy.

Just what I was looking for!
I was looking for a reasonably priced anatomy coloring book for several months before finding this one. I almost didn 't buy it, because there weren't any examples of the interior pages. Here you go, potential buyers. Despite what a reviewer said, there are ARE pages on the reproductive system. Unlike other books I found, the images are clear and the details aren 't so small that you can 't color them with pencils. The sides are double-sided. The pages are double-sided. I would therefore not recommend markers or pens. In total, an excellent buy for the price.

   great product
This book is used as a go-to for my 9-year-old, it is a bit difficult, but I have another one that is on a lower level and uses this one as a reference. I think it's interesting and very, very nice, reminds me of the worksheets I had in anatomy at college.

   Does the job, well priced
Colorful 1980s old school has text and formatting, but the coloring book does the job, and you can 't beat the price.

Just buy it! Makes learning easy and fun!
For a variety of reasons, I highly recommend this coloring book as a teacher. 1) The fine details are just enough to be highly appealing as well as clear to understand and provide excellent use in excericating hand eye coordination and fine hand motor strength for all ages, that comes from coloring these appealing drawings. 2) A surgeon recommended to us this author, as he used them in medical school. 3) They are accurate and visually accurate in their representation of human anatomy. Yes, learning anatomy can be fun... with the right products! Good printing, good paper thickness, very large book.

Good quality paper and clear illustrations; word:picture ratio is a bit high
This is an okay coloring book and is clearly not meant for a super-young child, as the paper quality is higher than a standard coloring book, newsprint. It is a bit texty. It has more the feel of an encyclopedia of anatomy with illustrations, rather than a coloring book with informational text, and is okay for the price. The Gray's Anatomy coloring book has a lot more pages and is a good choice, but I am happy with the purchase, but wish I knew how much text there is.

   Anatomy coloring book
I kind of expected more from this coloring book, but at the same time it is a depreciating value for the price.

Decent for the money and basic study guide
The book is a basic anatomy coloring book. It is for beginners or good for practicing. I am studying to become a personal coach and that is why I purchased. It does not show any good details. It also does not show different layers, like deep muscles then superficial muscles. For the back you get a half of a small picture. Just a few examples of how simple it is. They could have easily labeled some muscles shown, but not so it looks like they could have a different muscle if you did not know.

Great book for a great price!
Great quality : This coloring book was great for what I needed it for. I recommend this book to anyone currently going through AandP. It was very helpful in learning the different parts of the body. I would color each section while stating the name of the part over and over again. At the time, I don 't think I learned anything, but I can tell you now every part. Thank you for providing a great and helpful product!

   Listed as a chidren's book isn't accuate.
This book is listed as a children's book, but for an average adult this makes sense, as when the doctor tells me something I can see the reason why I ache. Bone internal problems aside all joint problems make more sense and even if it's easier to visualize heart problems. Why it's referred to as a children's book when it could help all ages.
