NOT a guide for hungry plant owners
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I bought this thinking it was a guide to OWNING plants and would go really well with the Fly Venus Trap, I'm giving my boyfriend for Christmas. However, since I was in a rush and didn't read the description, I ended up ordering a kid's book about hungry plants for a 31-year-old man. It looks like it's going to be cute, so he's still getting it.

My nearly 4 year old son adores this book!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I wasn't sure whether the age level of this book would suit him, but the information is fascinating — he loves to pretend that he's a Venus fly try, or a sundew, and land on his hands. Teaches him a great deal about carnivorous plants, more than I've learned in 40 years, he said. Even buying him a Venus fly trap, so that he can watch how it works and maybe trigger it to close, Mr. Dhaliwal said. Highly recommend.

Educational

My 5 year old just loves to read and is reading at a 4th grade level which makes it difficult to find books to interest her because as the older the child gets, the more questionable of the reading becomes, but this did the trick, there were not words like stupid, fat, dumb, but it still had a story line.

My Granddaughter and I read this together and she thought it was cute, too. She said she couldn't believe how different it was from reading it on a kindle.

Both my son and I have read the entire book. It's well written and gives good background, he said. He's got it all planned out for his own Venus Trapeze. In a video interview, he said he has memorized the entire alphabet.

Great factual early reader

The book was well-received by both readers and booksellers. We're picky about books with realistic pictures for our eager to learn but reluctant to read. The boys were having a good time, Tunick said.

Hungry Plants (Step-into-Reading, Step 4)
Derived From Web , Jun 26, 2021
Plants that eat insects fascinate us all. It was my 6 year old grandson who asked me to buy it for him. He still enjoys reading it to us occasionally and showing us the colorful pictures of Hungry Plants. Very informative book for kids.
