Every child needs this book!

The author of this story was on a news show and the book sounded great. I read the message to my toddlers frequently. I got a copy for myself, my family, and friends for Christmas. The director of my daycare center got a book for each class after I recommended it to her. It is so positive and encouraging and beautifully illustrated. I cannot recommend this enough. It is wonderful for multicultural classes and families. The children I have given the book to ranged in age from 2-8.

MUST BUY!!

This is a wonderful book. My son and I love it. He started preschool this year. He is getting out of the car and we chant this every morning. The pictures and words are beautiful. There was a recommendation of 1100. It does not have a father in it. Being that the book is not centered around family but about the boy, it does not bother me. I don't see anything wrong with the relationship between the mother and son. In most cases it is the mother who gets the children to school. To his own.

Super cute!

The story is adorable. The entire way through the book, they boost Ayaan up on his way to school because he is an adorable little kid who has worries. I make sure my child says it when they read it. She loves interacting with this book and it is a great book to read to your children.

Great artwork but...

My children can see themselves in books that depict them. It's rare and far between that I find children's books with our imagery, but this rubbed me the wrong way with the absence of Ayaan's father. It wouldn't have been an issue if his father wasn't absent, but there is still a chance to show that he isn't in Ayaan's thoughts. The authors are a sociologist and a woman. I'm pretty sure a sociologist knows the power of imagery.

Kids like it. I ordered two to read to my granddaughter and one to her daycare classroom. The teacher wanted to read it B4 bed even though she read it to the class. Children love being able to chime in.

This is a great book for young readers. A positive story for children of all ages when anticipating fears. It's clear that the authors captured his personality, as evidenced by the way the young boy read an exert from his story book.

LOVE THIS BOOK!!

This book is amazing. It teaches a lesson, but it is well written. Children can read on their own. Let me get into the illustrations. It is a lot of different. I would recommend this book to anyone with or without children. Everyone should hear this message.
