   Cute book, parents and kids alike will love it
This is one of our favorite books of our son and has yet to grow old. His grandparents also love to read it to him. I would highly recommend this book to anyone with a little one who loves books, either to read or to start on their own reading adventures.

   SO SWEET - my husband can't read without getting emotional
This book is by WONDERFUL. I ordered our copy on vacation so that I left another. Fortunately, the original showed up in the car, so we have one in our toddlers's room for bedtime and one in the overnight bag when he goes to Grandma's house. This book is great!

   Not a fan.
This is one of those books that makes me think I'm in the wrong profession. It seems like anyone can write anything and get it published as a children's book, so why am I not also in it? Maybe my baby will like it when she is older, but for now she is not super interested in the pictures and I am not super interested in the words. I also know that the title comes from an old phrase, but does not it imply that the cows will indeed come home and love the person on that day? Saying it just.

   Well made and sturdy, cute story
It is not only about cows ; there are also lots of animals involved. My two year old grandson will sit and read it to me and is usually very active. We live on a farm and I thought this would be a farm book, but it is not. It is themed on animals. That said, I think this is a really cute book. It is of top quality and I'm glad that I bought it. I think my grandson is!

   Surprised there's so few reviews!
Not only has it been one of our son's favorite books since he was around 20 months old, but it is also my favorite book to read as his mother to him. The writing is sweet and poetic, sometimes a little silly, and the storyline is charming. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful - so beautiful that I've considered framing some of the pages as decorations in our son's room. The one thing that surprises me is that there are so few reviews! I'm just shocked that this book isn 't more popular, as it is truly a book to hold and keep for many, many years to come.

My 4-year-old grandson learned quickly the various rhymes and reads along. We have to often stop to talk about the pictures and the very unlikely scenarios... We love this book.
