   Best $5 ever spent
We bought this book to help our daughter with the idea of having a baby. The best out of the lot. When my wife was pregnant, we started reading the book to her. The book is well drawn with enough words to get the point across and uses terms she could relate to, we modified the story a bit and insert her and her soon to be sisters name in it. Big sister has been great with the new baby because of the things she learned. She said the baby cried for the first time. She is crying to tell us something. Maybe she requires a new diaper. We will be purchasing this book for our friends who graduated from multiple Littles.

Exactly what I wanted for my daughter
A cute book for a big sister or sister to be. This book focuses on the positives of being big and empowering the big sister to be a good help. The baby in the pictures could be a boy or a girl, and there are no negative connotations with having a new baby. There is no mention of breastfeeding in the picture of the baby being fed a bottle. It is very easy to read the illustrations. For 3-6 year olds, I would recommend this.

Sweet for the new big sister!
I bought Waiting for Baby for our baby when he was two years old. It was good, but not what I was expecting. I decided to give this one a try. I don't plan on giving it to her until the baby is born, but the book is written in a way that I think will help her feel special, in a time that almost everything will be about the baby.

   Disappointed
I should've read this book more before I bought it. My daughter knows that my husband and I are expecting. The back of the book says 2, which is more accurate than the recommended ages of 4-7 or PreK-2nd. It's a little late for that, but I could have used something a little more mature. This is a good book to use for a toddler, but look elsewhere.

   Very Helpful!
My daughter is 27 months old and we are having a boy in may. She has me read it again and again. I'll catch her reading it alone and point out the cute pictures of her baby brother. She has given her baby dolls a bottle and tried to change their diaper since I got this book. I'm glad I got it because I think seeing the pictures in the book solidified things for her.

   Love this book!
My father and I are separated and he just had a baby. I bought the book for her so she could go to her dad's house. It helped her understand why babies cry and she tells everyone that she can walk and talk even though her brother is a baby. There is a really cute book. My daughter was confused because it referred to the baby's mom as mommy. We try to make it as easy as possible. Since she can't be there or meet him yet, this book made her more involved.

it's going to help her understand how she can help
My daughter would like me to read this every day. It's helped her understand that they're going to have a baby and she's going to be a big sister. She will be 2 and a half when the baby is born.

   Great for big sister
We got this book before the birth of our second child. When the new baby came, my daughter said she was like the book. I would recommend it to all parents.

   The book was perfect!
The book was great. It's perfect for my granddaughter who will be a big sister soon. She asked us to read it over and over again. The first day may be eight times or more. She learned how she can do more than her younger sister. She liked the page where baby is crying and her big sis is covering her ears. I referred to the big sister as "Big Sister Marielle" to make it more personal and she liked that. It explains some things that will happen with a new baby at home and focuses on the positive aspects of being older. There are several examples with both parents. It was simple, yet effective. The book was great.
