I am moonlight white.
I have a magical horn.
I look a lot like a horse, of course. . .

So begins this charming Little Golden Book that introduces the magical unicorn to the littlest readers In this sweet story, gorgeously illustrated by Disney artist Joey Chou, a unicorn tells the readers all about herself (My horn can make water clean, or heal a hurt) and her magical life (I frolic in the forest, I prance in the fields).    Great for late night story time!
The book is very easy to read. It's good for those nights when parents are tired. You can expand the storytime to discuss the story and illustrations if you are creative. It's about the kids and they love unicorns.

   Artwork, okay...story lacking.
I bought this in the same bundle as a classic Little Golden Book, so maybe the suffering by comparison was inevitable. The colors and artwork are cute, but the story is a little different. I've read to my kids more complex books. My three-year old loves books with actual plots, no matter how simple. There is a sentence or two per page in this book. A collection of cute drawings is not a story book. Don't buy it, you want an engaging narrative for your child.

Perfect for my 2 year old!
Absolutely love this book. My daughter loves this book. My daughter is getting to the point where she doesn't want to read baby books anymore. This was a good transition book to read with her because the story is not too long and she doesn't lose interest.

   Good quality. Small
The quality was good but not as good as I thought. I didn't read everything before I bought it. My daughter loves it, but it is her new favorite. She's 16 months old.

   Love this book
The story is simple and good for babies. One of the best books for children.

Yes it's unicorns and they are super popular, but this book is LAME
I couldn't get my 4 year old to sit down and read this book once, but maybe it's geared more towards the younger crowd. I read it on my own. I know it's a story about a mythical creature, but I expected better. I wouldn't recommend it to purchase.

No story line - very little content
We love golden books, but I was very disappointed in how little content this book had. The pictures are cute, but they are not much more than that. I have seen baby books with more words than this one. I will be reading more reviews before buying another book.

   Beautiful Illustrations
I was excited to read this book to my toddler. The illustrations are beautiful and honest. Kids like books with pictures. I was expecting more to come from there. I would have expected more writing on each page, but it isn't. This is a cute story, but my toddler prefers books with more story, and that takes longer to read.

   Cute intro to unicorns
My daughter's first birthday is tomorrow and I bought this book for her. I am fascinated by the legends of unicorns. My daughter is hoping that she will share my interest. I was drawn to the colors when I first saw the book. The pastels are beautiful. The illustrations are lovely and the colors continue throughout the book. The phrases on each page are short, which makes this perfect for toddler aged children. There is one main unicorn pictured on each page, but it's not really a story about a particular one. I think it's a great introduction to the mythology. I'm pretty sure that my daughter will enjoy it, but maybe not for another year or two. She likes to look through the pages.
