Helps explain MAD

My 4 year old is just too good a reader to learn from books. He knows the word "mad" and likes to be happy, so this book shows him how to feel better. He's a big fan of Daniel Tiger so I try to buy books that have good morals and he likes reading them. It's just that my sons acting up my husband brings it up. When you feel so mad and you want to take a deep breath and count to 4, you're in the wrong book. He also hears the songs from the showdvds, although he doesn't see them in the book. It helps him sleep.

Really enjoyed this book, said Paul LiCalsi. He was really good at hitting when he was mad, his mom said. He loves Daniel the tiger so much that this book helped him to learn how to deal with his anger. Daniel is a huge Daniel fan. If your toddler is hitting or not knowing how to handle their anger, this book may be for you. It's just that simple, Martha Stewart said. A simplified version of the episode, "The Whole Nine Yards," was aired on Friday.

He was very grateful and wanted to hear the story right away, he said. Story was super simple to follow, not overly wordy and not too short, Morgenthau said. It's a very easy to remember rhyme, and it was even more adorable when the narrator repeated it. We put the rhyme to practice right away, he said. Not a behavioral changing book by any means, but just a fun and simple rhyme to add to a young child's coping kit.

We love Daniel Tiger, it's my son's favourite show. He's a typical 2-year-old, so we were looking for a way to help him react appropriately when he gets mad, Mrs Hughes said. This book is okay, but it didn't really help Meagan. In "The Daniel Tiger's mom counts down to four to help him calm down," the book teaches that while he is still small, he will learn how to count. It made him scream even louder. It's just that he's a little too young for this book.

Ok book but does not hold my 2YOs attention

It could be that when my son gets a little older he will like this book more but we have never been able to read past the first page because it does not keep his attention. The book's text is very long, and the sentences don't rhyme. We watch Daniel neighborhood tigers so my hope was that he would like reading about Daniel like he does with Elmo or Sesame Street characters but the Sesame Street books we have usually had shorter sentences on each page and therefore hold his attention better. Even if your child will enjoy being read to, we recommend that you read about 10 books a day. Still giving it 3 stars because of the message and quality, and later on my kid might start to like it, but currently he does not.

Great for testing two year old!

My daughter absolutely loves the book and the movie. She likes to sing the song when you're mad. It works when you're going through the testing twos and a child acting out because they can't explain their emotions.

The book really spoke to my child. He is 4 and has been in trouble for outbursts at school and home, and not being able to cool down, they said. I'm thrilled that my son got into this book. Only in the past few years have we seen such instances of double-digit percentage gains. I plan to order more. Even with the age of the children, the books are long enough to keep a youngster's attention.
