Bestselling author Lauren Tarshis tackles the historic grizzly bear attacks in Glacier National Park in this latest installment of the groundbreaking, New York Times bestselling I Survived series.

No grizzly has ever killed a human in Glacier before . . . until tonight. Eleven-year-old Melody Vega and her family come to Glacier National Park every year, and it's always been a place where she can forget her troubles. But this year is different. With Mom gone, every moment in the park is a heartbreaking reminder of the past. Then Mel comes face-to-face with the mighty grizzly. Now her only thought is one of survival. Mel will soon be a part of one of the most tragic seasons in the history of America's national parks - a summer of terror that will forever change ideas about how grizzlies and humans can exist together in the wild.

   Excellent books
One of my favourites in the series. Not only have my children loved these books, but I also do as well. The author is a fantastic writer who gets character depth, action and history into so few pages. I haven 't been able to put her books down and neither can my children!

   Love and appreciate this book!
My kids and I love reading together this series. My son hated reading and these books helped me change! In this book, there is so much to appreciate. Of all the ones I have read aloud to my children, this is one that they wouldn t let me stop reading until it was finished! To our benefit, they get excited about traveling and visiting national parks when we read fun, engaging and partly historical stories about them.

   Buy! You’ll thank me.
Bought some and ordered some after reading the first couple with my 6-7 year old, we bought everyone from the series. Such a great read for young children. Fun and enjoyable, but true events are really fun and enjoyable. Great history lesson and makes learning fun. My son could not wait to start the next one. Highly recommended for any young reader. If you are not sure about it, I tell you that you’ll thank me after reading the first. They are all fantastic!

   Awesome series!
My granddaughter reads these and she loves them out loud to me! I enjoy the story as much as she does! '' The history line is right there, just adding a character to survive and pass on the story. I liked the attack of the Grizzly, but my granddaughter loves the American history selection! '' Now we read Pearl Harbor! A reluctant reader would enjoy these! A pleasure to read!

This book looked a little boring cause it’s not like a big natural disaster but read it and you’ll learn a lot of things about grizzly bears plus you get a thrilling story.
I would recommend this book to anybody, even if it doesn 't look cool, as it learns a lot of interesting stuff.

   Love these
My 10 year old loves these books! My 10 year old '' loves them! We started buying them when he was 8 or 9, and we started selling them when he was 8 or 9. Love how they mix a historical story of a fictional child with historical facts. My kiddo loves them and learns too much from them. To read, fun to read!

   Ummm.... It's nice I guess.
Let's say it is not as good as the other books in the series. One thing that I noticed was that Grandpa is wrong. Wolverines sometimes win fights actually do win. Lauren Tarshis researched all the information in the book, saying that Pacificy, in the book, says that Lauren Tarshis says all the information. Well, I guess she didn 't read any books about Wolverines! Besides the bad information, this was a decent book. Lauren Tarshis is a fan of I like Lauren Tarshis.

   Great series
For anyone who thinks these might be too natural, the series has helped my 10-year-old conquerr a number of anxieties, especially about scary disasters. He has been reading these since he was eight, and has been reading them since he was eight.

   My Son's Review:
Not NEARLY as good as the last ones, Mom. It was TERRIBLE. He should know, he has read all of them, My Take on it, Wolverines have picked fights with Grizzlies. And WON. Grandpa is full of it, saidLauren Tarshis : she read at least twenty different books, watched videos and studied photographs and maps. I guess that Wolverines were in none of them, and also, they ARE bloodthirsty beasts. They eat whatever comes across their path, including people. Including those poor women, this book is based on, who were attacked by WHILE SLEEPING. If THAT is not bloodthirsty, she and I have ENTIRELY different takes on what this word means. I have not read the book myself, but just these two inaccuracies make me wonder what else is incorrect.
