Great series for reluctant readers or struggling readers
Well-written, fast paced and engaging. There are well developed characters. Kids are introduced to a period in history and a natural or human-made disaster in each book. My students are asking for more.

   I survived
I like the books. I will admit that some are more difficult to read than others. I'm glad my son got me to read them. I was floored by the detail in this. The reality of history is still burning bright, even though my grandfather was in this one.

   Love these books!
My children love these books. They are easy to read but still have something to interest them. They are educational and through a child's prospective, that's why we love them. We love those that they have actually lived through, or have visited. A conversation outside of the book!
