   Great Series and written Well
Our son loves all the books I survived. We were a little hesitant in this particular book because of the sensitive nature of the subject. We decided that we would let him read it anyway and it really helped him understand this part of history with a child like story. I would definitely recommend this book and the entire series for young readers who enjoy learning about history. He is 10 years old and doesn 't have a hard time following the story. I did not read it so that I can not elaborate on the exact story. For a young son, great read for a young son.

Historical events with young protagonists make learning fun!
My 11 year old son just loves this I survived a series of books and reads all the books he can get his hands on. I like how he can learn about historical events in an easy to understand and easy to read way. The protagonists are usually young, pre-teens who have experienced these events and my son is able to relate to them. We are on the hunt for each book in the series.

   Gets kids to read`
Anything that will encourage children to pick up a book and read is worth the investment. We had bought the set of I survived books for Christmas and were pleased that my grandson looked forward eagerly to reading them. He would often read to me as we were riding in the car, and it always resulted in a lively discussion of the events. As soon as this book was available, we ordered it and he couldn t wait to read it. It also earned him AR points at his school, which earned him AR points.

horrific based on what happened during those terrible war years in occupied Nazi territory
I read the book myself ''. I bought two copies ''. I gave one I gave to my grandson... and hope that he will share when he's done with the other grandkids. Or I could just buy their own copy of Or I. This is a true story based on fictional facts. It is a story that is both terrifying, horrific, based on what happened during those terrible war years in occupied Nazi territory. It is a book that will help young readers understand that particular war. It will also help them understand that good does win over evil, and thankfully the evil doers were defeated in this war. It also teaches what tolerance, anti-Semitism, bigotry is. What happens when people who are culturally different from each other do not get along. It teaches that we must stand for our fellow men against this kind of evil. It teaches that hopefully what happened during that time period never happens again. Anyone who wants their children to really enjoy reading should order these I Survive books.

   Love these books
My 7 year old and 9 year old love both these books! They are simple reads, but still have enough content to keep their interest. We love them because they are educational and more importantly, educational through a child's prospective, rather than informational! We love especially those that we have actually lived through, we have visited or somewhere we have visited! Provokes a conversation outside the book!
