   LICENCE TO KILL
You need to read the book if you watch the movie. The book is similar to reading the movie. I watched the movie a second time as I read the book. Go for it.

   Better than the movie.
It's better than the movie. The movies and books are not the same.

   awesome
I was able to get this book in hardcover. It is hard to find so I was very pleased with it.

   Pay Off
The approach to writing novels taken by JohnGardner pays off. Even though some of these events are a remake of Ian Fleming's novel Live and Let Die with the same character being mangled again, he seems to have found his niche. Richard Maibaum and Michael G. Wilson's story for LICENCE TO KILL was used in this novel. Adding detail to scenes and venturing inside the head of the main character is what makes for an interesting read from an otherwise unsatisfactory film. This is pretty inspiring to John.

   GARDNERs Pay Off
The approach to writing novels taken by John Gardner paid off. Even though some of these events are a remake of Ian Fleming's novel Live and Let Die with the same character being mangled again, he seems to have found his niche even though his first novel is based on a Bond film. Richard Maibaum and Michael G. Wilson's story for LICENCE TO KILL is what inspired this novel. Adding detail to scenes and venturing inside the head of the main character exploring his feelings and motivations makes for an interesting read from an otherwise unsatisfactory film. This is inspiring to John.

   James Bond
I enjoy all the Bond books that have been written. Any James Bond book is perfect. It is worth buying.

Decent and based on an under rated Bond
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is not the best book I' ve read but it is a good read. This was based on an earlier draft of the final screenplay. A less tight one too.
