Eye (and Brain) Candy for young kids
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
At first blush, I thought this was a girl's book, but my girls loved it. I think it was so popular because Chris Van Dusen knows how to get like maniac and also tap into that what I am growing into when I have a 4-year old Geyser of Fantasy, which shoots out of every 4 to 7 year old who ever lived. He writes like malted milk balls make you feel good.

7 year old loves it
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
My 7 - year-old son loves this book. He likes to invent things in his head and spends a lot of time tinkering with cast-off tools and parts at his own workbench. I was concerned that this book might be a bit young for him, but I am happy that I bought it. At this point, from my perspective, any book that gets him excited about reading is a win.

Quality is lacking. Story and art are great!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
This review is for book quality, not the content. The story and the artwork are excellent. The book itself, not so much. While printing the ink was still wet when they put it together, but every page is warped like it got wet. I would return it, but every year on my son's birthday I write a note in a book and give it to him. We neglected to actually look at the pages before writing in them. Sadly, we can 't return it.

A great little book!
Derived From Web , Apr 20, 2022
I bought this book based on the reviews and that fact that it won an award. I was not disappointed ''. This book was a huge hit for my little 3-12 year old grandson, a huge hit ''. This book will keep his interest for a long time to come, with all the little details in the illustrations and the text's power to stimulate his imagination. He loves to be read and this book is a new favorite. I'll be purchasing more books by this author!

Standout Kids Book
Derived From Web , Sep 2, 2020
This is one of those books that you don 't mind reading again and again from the kids. It is fun, has lots of good vocab words that don 't feel forced and the illustrations and design are great. A ton of thought and effort went into it and shows everywhere.

Lovely CHildren's book
Derived From Web , Aug 25, 2020
My 5 year old son loves this book so I love it. We have owned the other two companion books of the same author previously if I built a school and If I built a house. The story rhymes like the books of Dr. Seuss and its beautifully illustrated and stokes his imagination. What more do you want? I bought the hardcover version only and I suggest you also do for the longevity of these books.

Not a fan of kids books and I love this book
Derived From Web , Jul 17, 2020
One of my biggest pet peeves with children books is that most seem to be written as though the book can have Rhymingcadence or vocabulary, but not both. But this book proves the others wrong. When two coworkers recommended this book, I broke it for my kid and got it. He loves this book and I really enjoy reading it to him. He is too young to understand all the words, so the vivid colors on EVERY page keep him engaged. The cadence is almost perfect and the rhyming is very good. There are absolutely no complaints. There are references to various vehicles, materials etc. I think this is also a good read for children who are ready to build their vocabulary and reading comprehension. So, I think this is also a good read for children, who are trying to build their vocabulary and reading comprehension. The illustrations follow closely to the words, which will be helpful to new readers. In all, so glad that I bought this book. In the future, Will receive more author attention from the author! P.S. P.S. : Jack's dog is the best ( Jack '' is the best ).

Favorite kids’ book!!
Derived From Web , Jul 8, 2020
This is the most read book in our house, Hands down, this is the most down book in our house. We got it for Christmas two years ago and my boys love to get it out and dream up their own cars. It sparks conversations and imaginations and even leads to drawing our own blueprints for cars. As a parent and preschool teacher who often read children's books out loud, it is also super fun to read aloud. A great book for gifting! It is worth noting that the author's other books are all amazing as well!
